A beautiful, relaxing location. Margarida is so welcoming and makes you feel like you’re in your own home. Gorgeous breakfast on the terrace overlooking the valley. We also did the wine tasting with Luis who is so knowledgeable and friendly.

Steile und enge Zufahrt gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber machbar.

Sehr nette Besitzerin, die uns herzlich empfangen hat. Sie gibt sehr gern Tipps für die Umgebung. Ruhige Lage, die nur mit einem Auto/Taxi zu erreichen ist. Man kann Das Frühstück ist sehr umfangreich und vieles wird selbst hergestellt. Die selbstgemachte Zucchinimarmelade war außergewöhnlich und sehr lecker. Man kann sich herrlich entspannen und findet seine Ruhe.

this is a great place to relax. Margarita was very hospitable. The room is thought out to the smallest detail. The location is in a very beautiful place. Everything is very clean. Margarita was always in touch, in the morning she brought bread and vegetables from the garden! At the same time, we felt ourselves alone with nature! Great impressions!

We couldn’t have expected to be looked after better. A truly beautiful spot with the most attentive family running a wonderful operation. We will be back!

We recently spent a few days at this beautiful, family-run guesthouse in the Douro Valley and it was everything we had hoped for – a real escape from the city to the quiet, peaceful countryside. Surrounded by stunning views and gorgeous pools, it was the perfect spot to unwind. There’s not much to do in the evenings other than head into the nearby town for dinner, which suited us perfectly – we were after some proper downtime. Breakfast was a real highlight each morning – fresh, local, and prepared by the host herself. We stayed in the renovated old building rather than one of the newer, modern units by the infinity pool, and we’re so glad we did. The apartment was absolutely gorgeous – spacious, full of charm and character, with a lovely big bath as the centrepiece and refreshing aircon throughout. It really felt like our own private retreat. The guesthouse itself is separate from the family home and feels more like a self-contained house, complete with a beautifully decorated sitting room, a breakfast room, and a huge terrace where we enjoyed our breakfast each morning. One of the highlights of the stay was the tour of the family vineyard, led by the host’s brother. It was clear he was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about winemaking – a lovely, personal touch that made our stay feel even more special. All in all, a very personal and peaceful experience in the heart of the Douro. We’d happily return.
