Srikrung Guesthouse

Lovely host very spontaneously picked us up from the train station and drove us to the guesthouse (it's not even a 10min walk but GMaps didn't know you could cross the train tracks towards east that smoothly), made us breakfast and (freshly manually grinded us) coffee and even let us have a shower after we checked out already after a long, sunny, city exploring day before our bus ride. The double bed room is definitely spacious enough and the AC is doing its (not too quiet) work.

For longer stays I'd probably prefer a private bathroom but it's clearly stated that it's shared so that's really just a matter of personality.

Nice, clean and simple accomodation - big room, own bathroom. Owner took great care of us - excellent local breakfast, coffee and he took us on train by his car. Thanks for that. He smile all the time. I can recommend.

The property was decorated very nicely and felt very homey and comfortable. The owner was an incredible help throughout my whole stay, picking me up and dropping me back off at my bus stop (for free, even late at night!). He also did everything to accommodate his guests wishes (for example getting an extension cord for the room, giving me a bag to borrow for day trips and even driving me to a nearby 7-11 in the night when I forgot my phone charger) and was a kind, respectful and supportive host. The breakfasts were delicious and very filling for the day of exploring

The owner was very friendly and it was great that our pets could stay. The location was in a nice Thai neighborhood, not far from some old Ayuttayah ruins

No towel, no soap, very basic bedding on uncomfortable beds. Breakfast was a very sweet version of typical Thai food which should be savory. Only one cup of coffee was offered, though it was very early when we ate breakfast.

The owner of SRIKRUNG GUESTHOUSE is friendly and will try to make your stay enjoyable. Personally, I like its location (behind the railway Station -- 5 min walk) because it gives you easy access to both the new town and the old town. It is also in a quiet neighborhood. The price is low, so you get what you pay for in terms of comfort and cleanliness.

We were given the 2nd room on the ground floor. It looks old and damaged (tiles, bed, plugs, etc). The pictures on booking.com are an example of the former glory of Srikrung Guesthouse, but it doesn't look the same now. It is still an interesting choice, since it is cheap and accepts dogs (for a small extra fee, which doesn't appear on the booking.com page).
