The location

Retro 1980 everything. Leaking shower base, broken toilet seat, mouldy smelling towels, crumpled old pillows. Too expensive for such base accommodation.

We loved our stay in Matraszentimre Panzio, it is such a great value for the low price, we particularly appreciated that it is a family-run hotel and the hosts were super friendly and flexible with any request. The breakfast and the alacarte restaurant is great, there is even vegan and vegetarian options, the rooms and beds are comfortable and the location is perfect to reach the best hiking spots. Would definitely return and recommend it to friends!

Really only small details, the wifi was very slow so don't plan on doing videocalls from here, and due to the wooden structure of the house you can hear everything from other rooms, wasn't an issue for us at all but something to consider ie if you are travelling with a baby or are a light sleeper.
