Guesthouse Stekkatún

The staff was absolutely lovely and kind! We appreciated her!

This is one of the few guesthouses located within walking distance of the border of Vatnajökull National Park, so the location is perfect as a starting point for day hikes. The breakfast and rooms were basic but sufficient.

One should be aware that due to supply and demand the value-for-money ratio at this location is nothing special. Also, there are no dinner options nearby.

Guesthouse Stekkatun was very nice. Ula, hostess, was very friendly. The room was cozy and had comfortable beds. The bathroom was clean and the shower had hot water. The breakfast was very good too. This guesthouse has the best toilet paper! It’s soft and not scratchy!

Seating area for breakfast is a little cramped.

stanze e bagni bellissimi. Ma eravamo convinti che c’era la cucina come scritto nelle precedenti recensioni ma non ha la cucina per gli ospiti, dove potersi cucinare qualcosa.

Chambres confortables, 2 salls de bains très propres ce qui est suffisant pour le nombre de chambres. On ne peut pas cuisiner mais possibilité d'utiliser la bouilloire et un micro-ondes à toute heure ce qui est pratique vu que les restaurants ne sont pas tout proches. Petit-dejeuner très bon et varié.
