Santa Marta Rooms - Vernazza

Location was amazing (2 min walk to the train platform, and very easy to get to the center of town as well), amenities were all updated and clean, A/C was perfect, bed was comfortable!

The only thing that could’ve made our stay better would be a stronger wi-fi connection.

Vernazza is compact and exciting to explore. Our room had a balcony overlooking the main (only) street from which we enjoyed our wine and the scene. Great views. It could be noisy but the soundproofing was excellent and our sleep was not disrupted. The rooms are located near the train station up a narrow passage. Very steep stairs lead to the room, just like everywhere else in Vernazza. Our host was very helpful arranging for our late arrival. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom bright and clean with walk in shower. We came to Vernazza to hike the Cinque Terra and were not disappointed. My wife rented walking poles from local sport shop. We dined on a cliff-side restaurant near the tower overlooking the small harbor. Outstanding seafood risotto! Breakfast at the waterfront was just a short narrow winding passage away.

The crowds during the day can be overwhelming. Daytime population is probably twenty times the town population, perhaps more. The train belches out hundreds of visitors every half hour. This is not a negative comment about the lodging, which was splendid. Just be prepared for shoulder to shoulder contact and standing room only on the trains between towns.

Location was near the train station but super quiet because of the renovated super heavy windows. Apartment is modern and updated and everything was nicely done. Rooms are HUGE!!

I would have liked a small kitchen.

Great location in Vernazza. Remarkably well thought out space had everything we could want. Impeccably clean with good sized bedrooms. Great balcony to enjoy a bottle of wine and watch the stars in the evening.

Perfect location, easy to find, and comfortable. Instructions were easy to follow. We loved having easy access to restaurants and the train station.
