It was spacious, clean, lots of light and a lovely terrace.

Bit of a walk to get there the first day with suitcases and uphill. Luckily my and and I are in good shape so we enjoyed the daily steps. No wifi.

The apartment was lovely. It didn't really make it clear in the description on booking.com but it's completely self contained so you have your own kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and roof terrace with a lovely view over the port and the bay to Vesuvius. The apartment was very clean and tidy and almost completely silent at night.

The kitchen wasn't very equipped (no sharp knives for chopping/slicing for example) and it was difficult to cook a proper meal. Castellammare is in a good location midway between Naples and Sorrento and the port is only 5 minutes away for boats to Capri, Amalfi and Positano. Be aware though that it isn't a tourist town and there are no pleasant little squares or scenic areas for eating/drinking. It's a very busy town and the traffic noise is pretty much constant. However it is perfectly safe and the station is only a 20 minute walk from the apartment.
