This was a cosy room with plenty of space to relax. There was even a washing machine provided at no cost. The owner was very friendly in helping me get settled.

It is slightly far from the city centre, but apart from that everything was good. I'd come back here again!

The hostel is very close to the bus station and 12min walk from the shuttle to Benesse Art Area. The room is big and you can use the washing machine. Good restaurant 5 min walk from the hostel. The owner is really nice

Free parking and the location was very good. Close to the museums but in a quiet area

This was a bargain for the experience of staying in Naoshima. The room was quite accessible from the local bus. The room was very large with separate toilet and shower as you often get in Japanese accommodation. The owner was quite polite when he arrived. As he couldn't speak English we had a few translation problems but not his fault at all. The room was very quiet.

I scored the tatami mat room which meant sleeping on a fairly thin mattress. Whilst this was novel for a night it was quite uncomfortable for a westerner! I really missed having a seat to sit on and the mattress was thin and very firm. I had to be careful getting up. The website says that there is a shared kitchen but the host never showed me it so I assumed it did not exist. In the room itself there is a small corner with a kettle and microwave but not a real kitchen as such.
