Beautiful Traditional Japanese Ryokan

The host was extremely helpful and welcoming, assisting with all our questions. The traditional Japanese house offered a fantastic view of Mount Fuji. The room was spotless. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Authentic guest house with an excellent host. We got green tea on arrival. and transferred us and our luggage to the train station. He was very nice, even though we were a bit troublesome (complications with arrival time etc.) The view was also beautiful, I hope I can come back for a longer period here.

Lovely guesthouse run by a small family in a quiet street of Fujikawaguchiko. The host is very hospitable and although he speaks little english, he is good with technology and will help you out wherever he can. He prepared a welcome snack and drink when you check in. The tatami room is clean and spacious and if you are lucky, comes with a view of Mt Fuji. The bathroom is traditional and has a bath which is prepared for you every night. The location is around 20min walk from the main train station and is close to local shops.

Nothing. It was a great stay.

We felt like staying in a local and traditional house. The tatami floors are really nice. Everything is really clean. It is in a residential area, there is a bus stop nearby but they offer a free shuttle from 3 pm from the station. You will get clean towels, yukata to wear, toothpaste and toothbrush. They offered tea as we arrived, very appreciated. We were lucky and since it was a clear day we got to see mount Fuji from our window. The owner took us to the station the next morning because it was very windy, he is very kind.

It could be better if the shower area was warmer and had more privacy, it is a large room that can be locked but I felt a bit awkward. The room where we slept couldn't be locked, a bit unsafe since there are strangers in the other rooms.

Host was really friendly and welcoming, when we arrived at the station he was waiting there to pick up our luggage, so we could directly go explore! He brought us a pot of japanese tea and pickled radish to our room when we arrived at the place. Everything was clean and well organised.

Helpful host and Fuji views.

The host is very helpful and hospitable. Thank you very much. He picked us up from the station and offered to take our bags back to the Ryokan so we could sight see, also made nice welcoming tea and gave a lift back to the station. It was a cold night but we had plenty of layers of futon to keep warm. Fuji views in the morning (photo below). We walked everywhere from here, no need for bus pass if you like walking. The morning walk across the lake bridge to Oishi park offers the best views of Fuji.

The owner is very helpful and friendly, he tried his very best to help us with anything we need in the house. Not to forget his immense hospitality ever since we checked in. Good view to see the Mount Fuji too directly from the room. Definitely a plus.

Even We sleep in family room with futon, the futon is very comfortable, can see Mount Fuji clearly from window. As we are driving, location not a issue for us and there is parking
