"museum hotel?"

its not really a hotel its more like staying as a guest but having a whole house instead of a room. so the good part was that i could experience how japanese people actually live and not just how hotels usually decide whats more suiting for me. there are many things to look around the house like kimono and all the japanese features.. i think its alright for a short time, especially if you pass by (very cheap)

the location is a bit difficult, there is a bus so its alright, but nothing too much to look around. i didnt try rending bicycle tho, so maybe with bike it will be more fun. also the bedroom is on the second floor and the toilet is on the first floor, a bit long way there but its manageable.

The family who runs the guest house is exceptional. The house was quirky and a fun place to stay. We would've liked to stay longer than one night.

These are all very minor things...! There wasn't an oven toaster which would've been useful for our breakfast. Also there was a lack of plates for guests to use. We could only find one bread and butter plate! The TV was in the bedroom as opposed to the lounge area. I guess they need to do this, but there were some rooms and cupboards/doors which were off limits for guests. With curious kids, this was a slight pain as of course they want to investigate every nook and cranny of the house!
