Property Notes

Hotel does not have a bathroom. Customers must use the chargeable public baths a 2-minute walk away, or go to one of the public hot-spring baths at Kawayu Onsen town, a 5-minute drive away. The public bathhouse can be entered between 14:00 and 20:00. Cost for the bathhouse entrance is included in the room rate. Free pick-up service is provided from JR Kawayu Onsen Station between 16:00 and 18:00. Guests who wish to use the free service must make an advance request. Please contact the hotel directly for more information on the shuttle service. Additional charges will apply for pick ups outside those hours. The entire property is nonsmoking and self-service. Guests must set and put away their own futon bedding. Guests are required to indicate the following on the Special Requests box at the time of booking: - estimated time of arrival - mode of transportation - gender and age of each guest staying in the room Please note that there are no restaurants or shops near the hotel. Please note extra bedding provided in the room are traditional futon mattresses.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation. In the event of an early departure, the property will charge you the full amount for your stay. When booking half board, note that drinks are not included. Guests must check in by 18:00 to eat dinner at this property. Guests checking in after this time may not be served dinner, and no refund will be given. This property does not accommodate bachelor(ette) or similar parties. A deposit may be required at the property.

"Muß nicht nochmal sein. Für große Menschen nicht geeignet.,"

Auf jeden Fall ist hier die Möglichkeit geboten, authentisch japanisch (im aktuellen Stil) zu wohnen. Alles sehr eng. Auf der Gemeinschaftstoilette steht eine Spendendose "für die Toilette"! Nette wirtsleute. Man sitzt beim Essen mit den 3 anderen Gästen Schulter an Schulter - mit etwas Sake kommt dann Stimmung auf.

alles sehr schlicht und beengt.

"Amazing"

The hosts are so welcoming and make you feel at home. The dinner was amazing and the talks afterwards were so much fun. The accomodation itself is quite basic, but the location, onsen, food, hosts and peacefulness are perfect.

"Too strict and money oriented"

If you're a person with ascetic lifestyle, you might find this host nice. It is prohibited to do anything in the room but sleeping . And you have to make a futon bed by yourself.

Host charges everything extra. There is no hot water in the house. And towel costs ¥300 extra. There is even a "toilet donation" box.

The hosts where amazing, taking me up to lake Machū for a tour and showing me all kinds of things. Both dinner and breakfast were awesome, the hidden bar/restaurant really made it feel special.

La amabilidad los anfitriones, los desayunos y las cenas espectaculares que nos preparaba Aki. No teníamos coche pero nos llevaron a ver todos los puntos interesantes de la zona, incluso fueron a recogernos a la estación al llegar. Volvería a repetir sin dudarlo

"Full-immersion Giapponese!"

Una piccola guest-house nella campagna Giapponese, nella zona dei laghi del parco nazionale di Akan. Pernottare qui e' una esperienza, una full immersion nel Giappone. Stanze con tatami e futon, cena al massimo in sei tutti intorno alla padrona di casa che cuoce davanti a te, l'onsen a 200 metri in un edificio che e' il cuore del piccolo villaggio che include anche la palestra ed altri servizi. Non dimenticate di andare a vedere la cascata con i salmoni che cercano di risalirla e poi il lago Akan, con il sole ed il cielo azzurro e' una meraviglia!
