Obasute Guesthouse Nakaraya

Kaji, the owner, was very welcoming! He was very friendly and flexible with check-in times, chatted with us over a drink and gave us some food despite not being required to. The place was very homely and comfortable. I liked the decor and feel of a traditional Japanese home. He let us use the fridge and microwave and gave us a tour of the place. Recommended for travellers who like to chat in Japanese. There was a separate sleeping space for female guests, so they can stay comfortably. Night view over the city was amazing. Great for the price.

The toilet space was quite small, and the doors were loud to open, but thats nothing huge. Its almost expected of old Japanese homes. The stairs from the carpark to the house were quite slippery in winter, please be careful not to slip. The bed was a little tough but the duvet was great!

I really enjoyed to stay at this place. Nature, guitar, bike, kind owner, close train station to travel around

The owner is very sympathetic and kindly offered some of his tempura! Thank you! The female dorm has an amazing view. The house is located in place with incredible view, very close to obasute station. I don’t have any car, and it was in ready to get to the service center where you can get some food!

The shower was a bit dirty for my standards.
