The security system to the building and each room (though loud) makes for a very safe stay even for a single woman. Perfect combination of hotel (private rooms and secure entrances) and hostel (extremely affordable with all the bare necessities). The customer service/communications with host were also clear, helpful, and generous (booked one night online and got a great deal for a couple more nights)!

Being in the city centre, it's normal to hear a bit of the night life on the streets, but earplugs will drown out most of it. Not an easy place to stay if stairs, hills, or cobblestone streets are a challenge, but perfect for those who love to walk.
