Green Gregory Villa Nuwara Eliya

I stayed in one of the rooms at this guest house and was very pleased with the experience. The room was exceptionally clean and well prepared, ensuring a comfortable stay. The property offers excellent value for money, with quality service at a reasonable rate. Both breakfast and dinner were well prepared and flavorful, adding to the overall satisfaction of my visit. I would highly recommend this guest house to anyone seeking a pleasant and affordable stay.

Zeer lieve gastheren. Zij doen alles om je op je gemak te stellen. Prima plek voor de prijs! Met tuktuk of pick me was de stad eenvoudig te bereiken

La struttura è una guesthouse che dispone di appena due camere quindi si riceve una grande attenzione da parte dello staff. La camera era pulita e sufficientemente spaziosa. Il bagno inoltre dispone di acqua calda. La famiglia è molto disponibile e gentile. Appena siamo arrivati all’interno della struttura ci hanno offerto un tè caldo e si sono preoccupati se avessimo bisogno di contattare un Tuk Tuk per visitare la zona. Abbiamo cenato presso la struttura ed è stata un’esperienza molto autentica: il cibo è di qualità e abbondante (rice and curry of course). Il prezzo della stanza è abbastanza buono, forse leggermente superiore alla media per una notte ma tutto sommato abbiamo apprezzato il rapporto qualità prezzo.

A Nuwara Eliya fa davvero tanto freddo ma purtroppo la struttura non dispone del riscaldamento in casa. In ogni caso la stanza è ben attrezzata con piumini e pile. La struttura non è in una posizione molto centrale e questo vincola ad affidarsi a Tuk Tuk locali. Infine, anche se abbiamo apprezzato il rapporto qualità prezzo per la stanza, riteniamo abbastanza eccessiva la richiesta di 8$ a persona per la cena: chi è stato in Sri Lanka sa che mangiare, soprattutto il rice and curry, è estremamente economico, e con 16$ si mangia in 4 (sempre considerando quanto ricevuto per cena che era senza dubbio molto buono ma pur sempre rice and curry che in ristorante mal che vada lo paghi 1200LR, ovvero neanche 4€).

Bellissima vista, gestito da una famiglia sono stati troppo gentili con noi, ci hanno fatto anche vedere una sera come cucinano e ci hanno spiegato tante cose. Sono stati bravissimi, gentili e super disponibili ci è dispiaciuto molto andare via. Consigliamo assolutamente cena e colazione fantastiche i migliori pasti che abbiamo fatto , e i più autentici 😃

The accomodation was very clean and comfortable, with warm blankets needed in the cold weather. The hosts were very kind and helpful in everything we needed, we felt like at home. The breakfast is really huge and very good, with most local traditional dishes to try, like roti, hoppers, stringhoppers etc. The dinner was also excellent with several types of mild (on our special request :)) curry, vegetables, fried rice .... Highly recommended.

Colazione abbondante e buona, persone molto gentili ed elastiche. Consigliatissimo, a cinque minuti di tuc tuc dal centro città

Achtung Abzocke!!

Abzocke!! Die verwenden ihren eigenen Wechselkurs und somit wurde der Preis um 50% teurer und sie sehr uneinsichtig und stur. Natürlich alles in Bar und nicht über Booking direkt…. Die Dusche ist ein reines Abenteuer, wenig Wasser und entweder brühend heiß oder eiskalt, dazwischen gibt es nichts. Bett ist halbwegs in Ordnung, aber dennoch komisch. Lage extrem abgelegen. Nicht zum empfehlen!!!
