The Old House

The hosts, Manor and Ann, are excellent. Friendly and so helpful. The accommodation is charming, lovely garden and village. This was our 3rd stay at the property.

The Stable Cottage was a little to small for our taste and duration of a week, compared to the other two cottages we have stayed at this location. It was the only option when booking and we wanted to check all three to compare them. That said it was still a charming stay. The WiFi was a problem when we arrived on Saturday, but Manor kindly managed to get this fixed on Monday, so it didn’t cause a problem thereafter.

The breakfast was delicious. The link to Samuel Taylor Coleridge was an unexpected bonus and the garden is delightful.

We returned after a year, and once again, everything was perfect. The location is ideal for exploring the beautiful Somerset countryside. The house has a special charm and a peaceful atmosphere that makes you feel at home.

Just the job great owner

There was plenty of choice for breakfast and we could amend our choices daily. The food was of a high quality and, where possible, locally sourced. Manor and Ann were very welcoming and provided tips of places to visit and eat.
