"Good stay"

- Centrally located in Steytlerville - Courtyard with parking - Rooms are adequately sized and include a kitchen - The property has a restaurant (the food is quite good) and a bar - Breakfast was included and a decent way to start the day - The service was a bit quiet and reserved, but very friendly - Used as a stopover between Addo Elephant National Park and Oudtshoorn

- Communication needs improvement - no WhatsApp contact possible (which was standard with all other accommodations) - According to Booking.com, check-in ends at 7 p.m. - because we were very pressed for time due to roadworks on the way and actually wanted to grab a bite to eat beforehand (at that point we didn't know there was an attached restaurant), I contacted them via Booking.com (twice), to which there was no response - ultimately, we created unnecessary stress for ourselves trying to be there by 7 p.m., which wasn't necessary at all. So: definitely work on your guest communication.

"It was a very pleasant experience in total."

The hotel is very well located in the Main Road of Steytlerville. The area is quiet and the grounds of the hotel also peaceful and shaded with lovely trees. We liked everything.

The bedside tables were a bit wobbly.

Traditional Royal Hotel. Old furniture, lots of caracter. The rooms were a bit spartan, when opening windows you cant tighten it. Nosquitos was a najor issue and I would suggest the hotel provides Doom and Peaceful Sleep. But the stoep is very nice and the court as well.

Clean old style Hotel, really comfortable and quiet. The staff are very friendly and the food is great. Lovely outside pool area where you can enjoy the afternoons.
