Merlin Guest House

L’emplacement est parfait. L’équipe de la « Guest House » est au petit soin : les repas sont délicieux et l’ensemble est d’une propreté absolue. Merci à Colin et à toute l’équipe pour ce séjour.

Facilities are very good, beer is cheap, decent breakfasts and excellent dinners ( really good home cooking and nicely served) good aircon and reasonable wifi,good beach walkable in 5 minutes and great footpaths along the coast in both directions..a really nice place with Merlin the owner and all the smily staff friendly, competent and helpful. We had a category 4 Cyclone which knocked out power and water for a few hours and next morning the worst I could say was breakfast was 40 minutes late and we had an omelette as well as the normal continental breakfast..a seriously good effort

No hot water in my shower but on Rodrigues really not an issue

The room is spacious and had a nice balcony. It is convenient that breakfast and dinner is included, and it was nice to engage with other guests during meals. Colin makes a great rum punch too :+). He can easily arrange transport if needed. The location close to the beaches and coastal walks is great!

The water pressure in the shower was very low, but it wasn't really a problem for us.

Though basic, it is very clean and well maintained. Staff were excellent in their services and dinner was superb!

The Guesthouse is in a beautiful location, just a five minute walk to Saint Francois Beach. There are hiking trails to nearby beaches that you can only access by walking.

Emilien was so accomodating and kind! We are vegetarians and he prepared meals just for us. He also organized day trips for everyone. Emilien also creates an environment where everyone talks and laughs together. Plus the location cant be beaten. Youre just minutes from the trou d'argente. It is really a special place.

Very friendly atmosphere, I enjoyed sharing the meals with other guests. Homemade food was tasty. The place Is close to some of the most beautiful beaches of the Island. Wi-Fi was good enough.

The rooster crows well before dawn sometimes....
