Beautiful house! We loved it

The house was beautiful and spotless. Hot water and heating was really nice (complicated in Morocco). Easy access to Essaouira (15min by car), it is on an unpaved road so dont worry if google maps takes you somewhere strange. Peaceful and quiet we slept really good there. The beds were a little less hard than in other places. I think in summer it must be nice with the pool area. Nice garden to lay around and terasse. They can call a masseuse if you want a massage in your room. She was really good and kind.

The food price was excessive for Morocco. We had way better meals during our stay and for cheaper. No wifi in the room and no tv as well , not really a problem but just come prepared with a book or something. The owner does not live there, so there is no service 24H. If you need something you have to write or call, they will send you someone but I don't like bothering people at night to get a cup of tea. A kettle in the room would have been nice. The place felt really "cold" and lacks atmosphere. It is a pretty house, but the energies were just plain. And since we were the only ones in the house, it felt a little bit strange.

Yves, Hakim and Fatima had let us feel warmly welcome and we had a very nice and relaxing stay at Maison d'Hélène. They were willing to help in all our wishes. The surrounding garden with the pool were exraordinary beautiful. Breakfast and dinner were very delicious. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

I loved this place; it is beautiful. The view from the room isn’t of anything special, but it does have a nice view of the plants outside. The setup of this place is quite comfortable, and the energy flows through it nicely. The shared spaces are very comfortable, and Hakim is a lovely person. I sat in the warmth of the Hammam, which was lovely as it got a little chilly. The winds were very strong while I stayed, and Hakim even made me a fire in the fireplace. I loved the bed; I slept very well here, even with the high winds.

The location is far for me as I am alone and without a car. It’s not a place to be without a car. When I booked, I didn’t look at the location, which I usually do. It’s about 20 minutes from Essaouira. I had dinner one night, and it was good. I had a salad another night, which was also good but very expensive. When you’re here without a car, you can’t easily get food or water, which was a bit challenging. I did make friends with a local person who came to pick me up and give me rides to places. Without that, it would have been a bit of a challenge and quite pricey with a taxi.

The bed is great - the shower is amazing - the pool area is amazing and the breakfast was perfect

The people don’t speak 1 word of English - was hard to communicate - the hamam was not part of the hotel price you had to pay extra for it which was not clear on the description. Also on the description it was written that you will have a kitchen but when we arrived there we realized there is not kitchen available.

The warmest welcome we have ever had and the kindness of the hosts (Yves and Brigitte) gives you the feeling of being with family The house and the swimming pool are magnificent. The food is delicious and you can benefit of hammam and traditional massage experience.
