Stone Rooms

Bom apartamento, bem localizado, a uma curta caminhada das atrações da parte baixa/mais nova da cidade e do Sasso Barisano (uma das partes turísticas). Para quem está de carro, é necessário parar em ruas próximas, nas vagas marcadas em azul (são pagas, mas pagamos €7 do começo da tarde até a manhã seguinte). Apartamento amplo, com cama e chuveiro bons. Há um frigobar compartilhado entre os quartos. Indicamos e voltaríamos.

A entrada tem uns três degraus, e o nosso apartamento também tinha mais dois degraus para o banheiro. Pode ser um problema para pessoas com problema de mobilidade. No nosso caso, não atrapalhou em nada mesmo com as malas.

Hele leuke ervaring om in een grot te slapen. De gastheer was heel vriendelijk en we konden aan het begin van de dag al onze koffers achter laten terwijl onze kamer klaar werd gemaakt. Het was ook heel leuk ingericht en het sanitair was netjes.

Alles was naar wens, maar ik zou hier niet meerdere nachten slapen in verband met de luchtvochtigheid. Het blijft natuurlijk een grot. Maar had het ook zeker niet willen missen om die reden.

Room is totally unique, and definitely worth the experience. How often do you get to stay in such a place? Conversion to bedroom & private bathroom very well done. Great shower, almost big enough for 2. Comfortable bed. And there is the bonus of an underground cave to explore at the property. Do not miss this. Very easy to walk around Matera & see all the sights, & find good restaurants close. A very unique place overall. Owner very helpful and pleasant, & even stored bags for us last day so we could explore Matera some more. Lovely little park very close to sit and reflect.

Special place in central location

The host is grossly misrepresenting the free parking that he listed. He clarified after! booking that free parking was 600 m away from the property and even paid parking 200m away. He also did not answer questions to provide directions to access the property such that it was impossible to stay at his place.
