Modern, tasteful decor. All rooms on street level so easy to access with luggage. Loved the communal breakfast room. Gave us a chance to meet other guests and get to know our hosts. Lots of choices at breakfast time to suit everyone. Able to make a cuppa/coffee in our room. Our little balcony was an added bonus. Nice to sit there and have a cuppa/coffee after a busy day exploring. All 3 staff we met were lovely and willing to share their knowledge of Matera with us. The videos that they made & put on What’s App re street parking and checking in were so helpful. Extremely close to the old town and the local bus stops end of the street, which saved our legs walking back up the hill. This has definitely been our best stay in Italy so far this trip!Would recommend to anyone & everyone to stay here.

Our stay was pretty much perfect and though we didn’t need it, there was no air conditioning. Our pillows were quite large with no spares to choose from. Guess we could have asked for different ones but we didn’t. Didn’t affect our overall stay. We still loved the place.
