sarà Futura Retrò

My husband and I stayed at sarà Futura in the room with the balcony for two nights. The room was bright, cozy, comfortable, and clean. Having the balcony was a great bonus as it was perfect for enjoying a glass of wine and looking down the street and enjoying the surrounding architecture. There was a shared kitchen area that was well equipped and nice to have access to. There was no one else staying, so we had the kitchen to ourselves. The location worked great for us and as active travelers, we were able to walk to the ferry terminal, train station, and many of the areas we wanted to explore in Salerno. The owners were very accommodating, informative, and helpful. We very much enjoyed our stay at sarà Futura!

Room was lovely. Very clean. Nice bedding. Plenty of storage space for toiletries and clothing. Great location near the Lungmare and the interesting streets of the Centro Storico. I appreciated the information the proprietors sent me about good eateries and places to enjoy an aperitif

The room (Cobalto) doesn't meet the description made on the booking page. It has no wardrobe, no coffe or tea maker. The room is rather small and the air conditioning system is broken. On top of it, the room is right above a restaurant so, not only it stinks of fried fish, but there were very loud noises (despite the closed windows that are not more than a meter away from the building across the alley) until around 3 a.m.. These did not allow my daugther and I to sleep. I had to ask for breakfast (which was included in the rate I paid) since the owner did not mention it in the welcoming email he sent. It turned out that it was just a coffee or cappuccino and one croissant in a nearby bar. But the worst of it is that the quilt on the bed was a very summery/light one and with the AC/inverter broken it was cold. No extra blanket was in the room. I pointed to the owner the problems my daugther and I were facing (cold, lack of sleep, unpleasant smell) and he first said that I just wanted to provoke, then he keep saying that he was going to fix the problem, but no blanket ever arrived. Moral of the tale, now I have caught a cold. I do not know about the other room that was in the house which is also rented, but do at all cost avoid the Cobalto one!

Very clean and well equipped accomodation with modern tasteful Interior. Bed was vey comfortable, bed linen and towels fresh and in plenty. The host was extremely helpful with getting luggage in and out and calling the taxi.

I did like everything about this place . One of the best B&B I ever been . Easy communication. Short walk from the train and bus station . Restaurant right there . Beach 8 mins walk . Definitely worth it .

We stayed at this hotel, and while the location is super central and convenient, the experience was disappointing. The host was completely absent—we struggled with both check-in and check-out since no one was there to help us. We didn't see a single staff member, and if it wasn't for another guest who noticed our struggle, we'd have had even more trouble getting into the apartment. The room itself was not clean, with mold in the shower and a general feeling that the place was poorly maintained. It wasn't absolutely terrible, but definitely not worth the price. To top it off, the host forgot to inform us about the included breakfast until the second day, which we missed on the first day. Overall, the host seemed careless and unengaged.

Maybe I misread the amenities listed in their ad, but thought that we were renting a small apartment with a kitchenette. What we actually rented was a small room that had an adjacent hallway with a SHARED small galley kitchen that we SHARED with whomever was in the room adjacent to ours. The featured small balcony might have been usable had it contained other than a postage stamp-sized table where you could not have placed more than a coffee cup or small plate. There were no other adjacent surfaces upon which to place food or other serving bowls, etc.-- and the adjoining bedroom had only a small desk top that one might be able to use-- but would be rather inconvenient. The absentee host was quite helpful but on the whole if you ask the main question, "Would you rent this place again?" Our response would be a resounding, "NO, never." So I think that says it all. In addition, located above a popular restaurant open until late at night, my husband found it difficult to sleep with the ambient street noise.

The location is fantastic with easy access to everything. The terrace was lovely and really adds to the character of the room - a lovely spot to people watch. The host was very responsive and helpful. The air conditioning was really appreciated!

The kitchenette is shared which is fine - it just would have been good to know in advance. Better organisation for sorting waste/recycling would be useful - labels for the main categories especially if both rooms are occupied.
