Yakunoyado Taguchi

オーナーご夫婦に大変親切にしていただき、ご飯がとびきりおいしくて、施設内は常に清潔で、素晴らしいお宿でした。

Yakunoyado Taguchi is a much-recommended base for exploring Yakushima island. The guest house itself is lovely despite the bedrooms being minimal, but the stay was made special by Shigeru and Hitomi, who went out of their way to help us navigate the island - including giving recommendations, lending us waterproofs, and driving us to certain places. Hitomi's cooking is delicious! The big baths are great after all the walking. There are also two beautiful cats.

It's worth knowing that: -The communal area with sofa and tables with chairs closes at 9pm, though there are a couple of outdoor chairs. So after that if you want to be indoors you only have a futon bed/floor mats to sit on. -Coffee is not included in the price of meals. -The guest house is located a 15/20 minute walk up a hill. All in all though we had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend it.

The location is very convenient, the room was extremely clean and well kept, the meals absolutely delicious and the hosts wonderful, informative and friendly!

Everything was above expectations.

屋久島は、人の温かさや素晴らしい景色を経験できる素晴らしい場所だが、何よりも、ご夫婦の温かいサポートが1番の思い出。 ここに泊まらなければ、経験できなかったことがたくさんあったと思う。自分だけでは知り得なかった、ガイドブックには載ってない屋久島の魅力を教えてくれる。 ひとり旅なのにひとりで来てると思えないほど素敵な場所でした。 港やバス停から宿に向かう途中にスーパーもあり便利でした。 料理もとても美味しく、また必ず訪れたい場所です。 お二人のサポートに感謝します。

Les propriétaires sont sympathiques et vous facilitent les choses en vous prodiguant de précieux conseils et en vous véhiculant si besoin depuis et vers le port. Merci pour la belle surprise du dernier jour avec ce détour dans un endroit magique, caché dans la forêt toute proche...

Pour dîner sur place il faut réserver plus de 48h à l'avance. Le mieux est de le faire dès la réservation de l'hébergement. Ça évite les oublis.
