Hakuba Skala Inn

The family running Skala are awesome and went so far out of their way to make sure everyone is comfortable. When we come back to hakuba this will be our first choice. Can't recommend it enough.

Wonderful experience at this cozy, family operated lodge. Shuttle is right outside the lodge. Breakfast and service were excellent. They even have a bar with a nice whiskey selection! We loved our time at Skala and would recommend it to anyone skiing Hakuba Valley.

Super cozy Inn! The family running the Inn were super lovely and accommodating. Facilities were really nice and breakfast each morning was great! Would definitely recommend, we enjoyed our stay.

Nothing.

Very comfortable, cosy stay. We had the corner room with two windows looking out to snow covered trees. The lounge area had a massage chair and fireplace which we used every day. Very easy access to free shuttle buses to all of Hakuba snow resorts. Best breakfast we had in Japan.

The onsen was closed during our stay. We ran baths in our room instead but would have been nice to be able to use the facility

Breakfast was amazing each morning. The staff were very attentive, always available and offered us many lifts around the town. The location was great - a 10 minute walk from lots of food options in town and even closer to the shuttle bus stop.

I cannot fault this place. We have never stayed in a more beautiful, comfortable and cozy place. The owners went above and beyond. I can say that we fell inlove with Skala Inn. P.S: Freshly baked breads every single morning for breakfast. We were spoilt rotten. We will be back !!
