Great location and service

Osamu-san and his family, along with the other staff are very welcoming. They are always ready to help. Plus, seconds away to bus stop when going to Happo One. Their pickup/drop off service have really helped me be at ease with travels especially thinking about luggages and ski/snowboard equipments.

The family that run Skala Inn went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and provide any support required during our stay. My partner and I stayed in one of the upstairs Western Style double rooms with ensuite, it was cozy but provided all we needed for the 5 days we stayed. The Inn is perfectly located for a ski holiday, a short walk to the restaurants, cafes and ski rental shops of Echoland. They have an arrangement wth most of the gear rental places, meaning that you can leave your hire gear in the mud room and it will be collected from there on the last day of hire. The bus stop for the mountain shuttle busses was at the end of the driveway, which made it super easy getting to and from the slopes each day. Breakfast was included with our booking. It consisted of freshly served egg and ham plus an assortment of pastries, cereal, fruit, yoghurt and tea/coffee served buffet style. We left feeling full every morning. Loved our stay overall and if we ski Hakuba again, Skala Inn will be our first choice for accommodation.

The pillows in our room were very soft and flat. A minor discomfort really. In hindsight I could have asked for an extra pillow and I'm sure they would have been happy to provide one.

Ficar no Skala foi um sensacional! Fomos acolhidos da forma mais querida e amigável possível pela família que cuida do Hotel. Eles foram queridos, nos buscaram na estação, nos levaram para alugar equipamento e foram mega prestativos sempre que precisamos. O quarto é mega confortável e a sala comum é uma delícia pra finalizar o dia. Os restaurantes ficam a uns 7/9 minutos de caminhada, mas o hotel sugere opções de delivery. O café tinha uma padaria deliciosa. O ponto mais positivo é a localização com relação aos shuttle bus. A maioria das estações tem ônibus saindo da parada do próprio hotel (sim, eles tem o próprio ponto) e, quando não, saem de outro hotel a 3 minutos de caminhada. Amamos cada segundo no Skala!
