Guesthouse The Kims

We loved staying a bit out of town, closer to the mountains. I wish we had time to explore the area more because it was beautiful and reminded me of a European town. The hosts are incredibly welcoming and our conversations were sweet.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt und haben uns vom ersten Moment an sehr willkommen gefühlt. Young und Sam sind fantastische Gastgeber – herzlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Das Haus ist wunderschön, sehr geschmackvoll und liegt direkt am Bukhansan-Nationalpark. Gleichzeitig ist man dank der sehr guten Busanbindung schnell im Stadtzentrum. Begeistert hat uns auch das Frühstück: abwechslungsreich, sehr lecker und jeden Tag liebevoll zubereitet. Die Gastgeber bieten auf Wunsch auch organisierte Ausflüge oder gemeinsames koreanisches Kochen an. Es war eine tolle Erfahrung, bei einer koreanischen Familie zu wohnen und dadurch das Land noch einmal anders kennenzulernen als bei einem Aufenthalt in einem anonymen Hotel!

Everything was perfect!

The stay at the Kim‘s feels very homey. The breakfast is home cooked and tastes amazing. And you meet people from oll over the world, connect and exchange travel stories and tips.

The walls are rather thin. When you are a light sleeper you could get wakened up by the noises of other guests sometimes.

Amazing home cooked breakfast every morning. You can tell the owner put a lot of thought into ensuring everyone was happy.

I wish I could stay longer.

The location is far enough from the city center to be close to the mountain and very quiet and relaxing but still well connected by bus. Mrs Kim's breakfasts are a national treasure, believe me if I tell you that you won't need to have lunch. The guesthouse is very clean and the Kims are great hosts. If you have a heavy luggage just bear in mind the road to get to the guesthouse is quite steep.

Kim’s Guesthouse was a beautiful house at the foot of the mountain. The view was spectacular and the neighborhood was lovely.

I felt right at home with the Kims. The house is beautiful and in an amazing location with perfect mountain views. Young made incredible breakfast for the guests every morning. If you want to visit Seoul but prefer to have a more relaxing place to retreat to after a day in the city, this is 100% where you should go!
