Lake Face Cabana

Such a nice family. They welcomed us like family. We could stay until afternoon because of our safari. It is such a nice cosy, basic cabin on the lake. Really recommend it!

Tout était absolument génial ! La vue est sublime ! La cabane n’est pas complètement fermée donc c’est comme si vous tentiez une expérience dans la nature ! Incroyable ! Ils organisent tout pour vous et le safari est juste magnifique ! Pour finir la famille est d’une gentillesse absolue ! Ne réfléchissez pas et réservez 🫶🏼

Schöne Lage. Die Aussicht auf den See waren einfach fantastisch. Man konnte stundenlang dasitzen und den Tieren lauschen. Die Hosts haben alles gegeben um den Aufenthalt zu einem besonderen Erlebnis zu machen. Tolles Essen und tolle Gespräche. Wir wurden sogar noch am Tag der Abfahrt zur richtigen Bushaltestelle gebracht, wo gewartet wurde bis wir im richtigen Bus sitzen.

The family who own and run the property are amazing, very hospitable and friendly and go out of their way to make you comfortable. The host is a great cook and provides such a a positive vibe. Lake face is located away from the CBD and as the name suggests the rooms are tree houses that over looks a lake.

Вечер прибытия и вечер после сафари пролетели незаметно. И теперь, неделю спустя, понимаешь, что туда хочется вернутся и ещё раз посидеть на веранде домика на дереве и увидеть как живёт озеро. Сколько звуков! А чего только стоит, проплывающее мимо, стадо буйволов. Вечером были комары, но нам помогли с ними справиться. Еда - вкусно,.красиво, с душою. Отдельное спасибо Janaka Safari за организацию посещения парка Яла. Безупречно! Леопарды, медведь, слоны, буйволы, крокодилы, олени. Спасибо за организацию трансфера в Эллу. Рекомендую всем и , с радостью, посетил бы ещё раз.

Eine sehr herzliche Famile, sehr feines Essen, sehr hilfsbereit, wunderschöne Aussicht, du fühlst Dich wie mitten im Dschungel umgeben von Pflanzen, Palmen, See voller Seerosen und Vögel, von weiten kannst Du Krokodile sehen, Pfaue.... Flederhunde.... Yala Safari ist ganz nah... du wirst am Morgen früh vor der Haustüre abgeholt.... Ein einmaliges, eindrückliches Erlebnis, wir durften zwei Fahrräder ausleihen, um um den See zu fahren... Alles vorhanden, auch möglich Wäsche waschen zu lassen... Sprechend gut englisch... Sehr authentisch Wundervoll Sehr empfehlenswert Ich werde wieder kommen 🌴🦋🌸🪴🐊🦚🐘🐆☀️

The host and her family were great. Dilyusha is very friendly and cooks great meals. The view is beautiful, very peaceful!

- I didn't pay attention on the photos that the walls have big space between planks, so you will have all types of insects in the room (photo attached, so make your judgment on your tolerance of who can get into your room). - We had many big cockroaches, so as a result we left the next morning as kids couldn't sleep well. As owner is saying I am lying - I attach photos of few of them which we could catch. There were more! I have no problems with animals at all, but cockroaches that crawling around toothbrushes, in our glasses, sink and toilet are beyond my tolerance. Be prepared for lots of spiders as well. - No hot water. No refrigirator in the room. No AC. Quite hot. - Expensive. With breakfast (5 USD / 1490 LKR per person excluding drinks) the price was about 56 USD / night for 4 people. Drinks on top. Travelling around Sri Lanka for 2 weeks we stayed in much bigger rooms with AC, hot water, fridge, normal walls + breakfast with fresh juices for such price. Some even were on the coast with less than 100 meters to the beautiful beaches. I attach the bill for breakfast, you can see I am not lying, but host is saying it was 5 USD for 2. This is a lie. 4 breakfast + 4 drinks - 8900 LKR, so about 30 USD for 4. - After 1st night, I had requested few times to change the dates to check-out after first night. Host refused to do so twice! I spent 15 mins in a roaming with booking.com, who confirmed it's the right way. They can't cancel it as I spent there 1 night already. My requests were declined and then marked me of "no-show". I understand it was done to avoid me writing review. I got a message from booking that they would charge me no-show fee, so host gave me 1800LKR (6 USD) in case I am charged. So I paid for a room in full - the rate, dinner and breakfast and then they returned me 6 USD becasue they marked me as no-show. Very pity that host is trying to deny the review though no lie, just the facts that they don't like.
