Lake Face Cabana

Vue imprenable sur le lac depuis notre cabane, dans un lieu très calme et reposant après notre séjour à Ella, marqué par la foule et les touristes. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié le tour du lac, très agréable, en pleine nature, sans croiser un seul touriste. L’emplacement est également idéal pour se rendre au parc de Yala, une expérience absolument inoubliable. Un immense merci à notre hôte, d’une grande gentillesse et toujours aux petits soins. Nous avons également dîné sur place le soir, et le repas était tout simplement délicieux. Un séjour que nous recommandons vivement.

Everything was perfect. The cabanas are beautiful, clean and comfortable. The view is breathtaking and you might even see a crocodile or water buffalo! The food is delicious. I would definitely recommend the breakfast and also the menu for lunch or dinner. Delushika and her husband prepared a great lunch for me and my friends in no time! The hosts are so kind, even when we had trouble with our taxi we were immediately helped to find a quick solution. We were treated so well, absolutely zero complaints:)

My two daughters and I, we had an absolutely amazing time at this unusually beautiful place that is very good value for money. The tree-house-like huts on stilts were built with much love for detail and creativity by the super-nice owners of the treehouse-hotel, and the view from the huts onto the surrounding lake and the wild, lush and green landscape is nothing less but breathtaking! We got very much attached to the family who has two very nice, loving, cute kids that my daughters and I very much enjoyed spending time with. Every evening, we were sitting together with this very warm, welcoming, caring family, and we enjoyed our conversations so much that we really had a very hard time leaving this special, beautiful place and saying goodbye to this unusually friendly and nice family. Dilushika, the woman who runs the family-business together with her husband is one of the kindest people I have ever gotten to know, she is a great cook, prepares delicious Sri Lankan-style meals with a lot of love, the breakfast she prepared every morning was rich and yummy, and - being a dedicated mother herself - she was very caring and helpful when one of my daughters had a cold. In addition, her English is really good, and her older daughter speaks English very well, too. In addition, Dilushika’s husband is a very nice, accommodating and helpful person who got out of his way to help us organising all sorts of trips (e.g. Yala-, Bundala-safaris at short notice) as well as different taxi- or tuktuk-rides for very fair prices (e.g. to Ella or to a sunset-spot where hundreds and hundreds of bats, lazily hanging from trees during the day, start shaking off their sleepiness during sunset and lift into the evening-sky which we thought was very impressive). non attiene alla struttura ma al safari con il loro fratello Janaka. Non rifarei ilsafari di un’intera giornata, perché ci si sveglia troppo presto e poi si sta ad attendere a lungo l’apertura delle porte del parco. Per avvistare il leopardo è Molto più utile fare il safari di pomeriggio, ma raccomandare all’autista di stare fino alla fine della chiusura del parco il nostro autista è andato via prima e non abbiamo avvistato il leopardo

We stayed in the cabanas for 2 nights and we really had an amazing and relaxing experience. The hosts are amazing people, the food is good and 100% home made. The lake in front of the cabanas is very beautiful and perfect for bird watching and wildlife watching. The hosts also helped us book a full day safari in Yala which was one of the highlights of our trip. Would absolutely recommend!

We hadden prachtig uitzicht over het meer vanaf onze boomhut, waar we zelfs krokodillen gezien hebben!! Zo gaaf!! De eigenaren zijn echt super aardig en willen je overal bij helpen. Daarnaast konden wij ook bij onze cabana eten, de eigenaresse kookt heerlijk. We hebben ook de safari naar Yala National Park via het verblijf geregeld en dit was top.

Het was best warm en er was geen airco, maar dit hebben wij niet als nadelig punt gezien. Het waait namelijk lekker door de hut heen. Hierdoor was de temperatuur alsnog erg aangenaam!

Nulla. Se tornassi indietro farei solo di mezza giornata e non dell’intera giornata, perché è meglio godersi la mattina nella guesthouse e fare il safari pomeridiano anche perché è dura fare l’alba e comunque i Leopardi si avvistano ha avuto un crollo di con più facilità il pomeriggio

La location è incredibile, le strutture sono semplici e spartane ma c’è tutto quello che serve. Gli host gentilissimi e super ospitali. Abbiamo visto coccodrillo dal giardino di casa, incredibile.
