No hot water , old room , dust on furniture

The location of the hotel, overlooking the river is lovely. The distance to the main part of town for meals and to make arrangements for local excursions is about a ten to fifteen minute pleasant walk.

If you are a light sleeper, this is likely not the best place for you. Behind the room and outside the building, but still on the hotel grounds, is a very loud water pump that creates a disturbing, huge banging sound every twenty or so seconds throughout the night. I literally didn't sleep a minute and had to move to another hotel quite a distance away for the next night as the noise could be heard at least a block away while standing outside and across the street. In fairness, some other guests seemed OK with this. Maybe instead of simple ear plugs, they had sophisticated noise-cancelling head phones :)
