I can understand so high rating now. Soyi was really helpful and nice person. Room was clean with enough space. And breakfast... was gigantic 😀 high recommedation.

Miss host was really Kind and helpful, she gave us many recommendations of places to See and where to eat. Her mom makes the best breakfast!! There is also nice tea in the common area. The location of the guesthouse is ubeliveable, you can just walk across the bridge and you are almost in Mountains.

The bed was very comfortable and the host was very kind and willing to share many tips.

MUA Guesthouse is one of the best stays I ever had in traveling South Korea. First of all, the host So-yi is so kind and accommodating. I was glad she could speak english so well that she can share stories about Namwon. Once I was settled she gave me a quick tour around the guest house and made me choose my room. To my surprise it was a Hanok Stay and I am glad I chose this side of the house because it was also an art gallery where you can see the paintings of Soyi, I am not an art critic but the whole art work adds to the personality of the guesthouse because it is full of emotions. (The one I particularly like are the mirror paintings of her mom). The guest house is so homey, comfortable and complete. When you go outside of the house it has the vibe of a kdrama location like Reply 1988. The guesthouse is also situated near restaurants, walking distance from Gwanghalluwon Garden, local coffee shops and farther down is a walking trail that can lead you to Jirisan Mountain. Its also near the river where in Spring Cherry Blossoms and Azaleas are blooming like carpet. Soyi will also send you recommendations and suggestions of places to eat and where to go which are 20mins around the guest house. Lastly, you have to pre order breakfast because Soyi's mom will cook and serve it fresh. And it was an amazing power breakfast partnered with strong hot coffee. This makes my stay in Namwon so memorable and I love it.

If you are staying in a Hanok house expect that it will be extremely quiet because the materials are light so any big or heavy movements will be heard around the house. It is best to go to bed early and wake up early to avoid noise and disturbance.

Where to start? Mua guest house has a perfect location, nice rooms and good service. But the soul of the place is Soyi - I never had such a responsive host who helped so much with information about the transportation to go hiking, telling local insights and just being a great person to talk and hang out. And don't miss the chance to try Soyis moms breakfast - delicious! Best recommendations!

Soyi met us when we arrived and immediately made us feel so welcome. She has created a lovely feel to the guesthouse, homely, comfortable and attractive. She provided us with all sorts of useful information to make the most of our visit to Namwon and was great to chat to (in her excellent English) throughout our stay. We didn't know a lot about Namwon before visiting, but were really pleased to have come - lots to do and see and less of a tourist focus than Jeonju. The place is awash with great cafes and we had a couple of excellent meals (banyadolsot (반야돌솥, on Soyi's recommendation, just 5 mins walk from the guesthouse + 25시, on a recommendation in a blog from someone who lived no in Namwon for a couple of years and said it was her favourite restaurant in Korea! Lamb on the bone soup. In both restaurants there is essentially just one dish - makes ordering easy!). If we ever find ourselves in this part of Korea again, will definitely come back to Mua Guesthouse.
