Tranquil Quarter

It was a wonderful two days. The room was both large and very comfortable, and the room was in a very quiet place. The view is so beautiful. I'm not an early riser, but I wanted to get up early and enjoy the view. Everything is more beautiful than the photos. Kanil and his family treated us like new family members. They tried to complete every shortcoming of ours. We were very grateful. We will undoubtedly stay here next time we come. Thank you very much again.

I loved everything about it. A large apartment, with living room, kitchen etc. Everything was clean. You could see that a lot of thought was put on every detail. To top it off, Kanil and his family were super kind and extra helpful. I cannot recommend it enough

Lovely host and amazing view in a very comfortable room! Kanil and his family were super friendly and helpful. They‘ve picked us up in the city and brought us there again when we left. Kanil even helped us to get into the correct public bus. We highly recommend getting the optional breakfast, as it is homemade and really good! The room is very cozy and clean. It was an overall amazing experience and we‘d definitely stay here again!

It was my best accommodation in Sri Lanka. The flat is amazing and felt like home from the very first second. It has everything you need plus a small balcony with an incredible nature view. By far it was the cleanest place I’ve visited in Sri Lanka. Everything was perfectly organised by Kanil. He is very honest and helped me with everything during my stay. His mother cooks delicious food and has the loveliest smile. Their hospitality was outstanding and I would always come back to Kandy even just for staying there.

Me and my husband stayed here for 2 nights whilst backpacking through Sri Lanka. They usually have people stay on a long term basis so we were lucky it was available when we were in Kandy. Firstly, the host Kanil is incredible. He is so kind, friendly and attentive! Him and his mum left us edible goodies constantly throughout our stay (lots of Sri Lankan foods we hadn’t tried yet) and collected us from the train station on arrival and dropped us to the bus stop on departure - all for free! Kanil had some fantastic recommendations for where to eat (if you like street food you MUST go to Waul Kade) and he was always more than happy to assist us with any of our questions. We had 1 breakfast whilst we were there and it was delicious and very filling! The place itself consists of a kitchen, dining room, bedroom, bathroom and balcony - which was all for us! There was a washing machine we were allowed to use for no extra cost and we hung the laundry on a clothes horse on the balcony to dry. Done in a day! There was tea and coffee we could help ourselves to and a fridge we could put food and drinks in. The bathroom was AMAZING and the shower was nice and hot and good power (you just have to let it run for 2mins first then it’s perfect). There was a hairdryer and complimentary shampoo/conditioner/shower gel/soap. The bedroom was huge and also had a sofa and TV (although we didn’t use this). This place is 10 stars on booking.com and for a very good reason - Kanil and his family have work incredibly hard to ensure you have the perfect stay! We are so happy we booked here!!!! Thank you again for such a wonderful few days.

Modern and clean appartment with a very nice view. There is a possibility to use private kitchen and even the washing machine. Delicious and generous breakfast in forms of local dishes. The hosts are super attentive and friendly. They also helped us with the train tickets booking. Every day there was some bonus surprice waiting for us. It was a pleasant stay. Thank you Kanil.

Tranquil Quarter exceeded our expectations. We had the most comfortable stay in the property in a foreign country. The place was exceptionally clean, comfortable, with the most comforting view from the balcony. My daughter had the best experience of the trip in Tranquil Quarter. Thank you for making it possible!
