Golden Residence

We had a wonderful and memorable stay at Golden Residence, Anuradhapura. My family and I booked two rooms a couple of weeks ago and stayed for two nights. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and comfortable. The property is very family-friendly, and our children absolutely loved the peaceful environment. One of the best things about this place is its location — it is situated in a calm, quiet area, yet it is still very convenient, just a short drive from the town, sacred places, and other important locations in Anuradhapura. The rooms and surrounding areas were exceptionally clean, tidy, and well-maintained. It was clear that the owners take great pride in maintaining the property to a very high standard. The hospitality shown by the owners was truly outstanding. They treated us with great kindness, respect, and care throughout our stay. We were especially grateful because they generously allowed us to prepare Ashtapana in their kitchen for the Kanchuka Puja for Ruwanwelisaya. They were extremely supportive and accommodating, and thanks to their help, we were able to complete everything smoothly while keeping the kitchen clean and organised. In addition, the owners arranged a delicious dinner and breakfast for us upon request, which made our stay even more convenient and enjoyable. We also highly appreciated the privacy we had during our stay, as we were never disturbed and could relax peacefully with our family. Overall, we had a very comfortable, relaxing, and pleasant experience at Golden Residence. It is budget-friendly, peaceful, well-maintained, and run by genuinely caring people. Without hesitation, we highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable family stay in Anuradhapura. It is truly one of the best places we have ever stayed in Sri Lanka.

I travelled with my dementing mom. The staff was very accomodating. I f I travel alone or with my friends I will go for a different venue. That is why I say I will not go there agian. I got what I expected. I wuld recommend the place for a queit stay with personalized service .

Es tracta d'una casa particular. Els amos són molt amables. Abundant esmorzar molt bo. Però la casa queda una mica apartada i solitaria.

Familiäres Hotel. Schöner Garten . Das Zimmer für 4 Personen definitiv zu klein. Keine Hacken oder Schränke um etwas aufzuhängen. Weder Seife noch Klopapier im Bad. Auf Nachfrage Toilettenpapier erhalten. Verkaufen ihr Essen plus 10 % Tax… und nehmen für ein Bier das dreifache..

Zimmer zu klein

Zeer vriendelijke host, stond altijd voor ons klaar en vroeg of we nog wensen hadden. En hij was ook altijd in voor een praatje. De kamer was super schoon en netjes, en de tuin zag er prachtig uit. We waren ook heel blij met de heerlijke warme douche. Als we weer in Anuradhapura zouden komen zouden we hier zeker terug komen!

De kamer is heel netjes en schoon, maar wel basic. Niet veel ruimte om spullen meer te leggen oid. Wij hadden voldoende ruimte (familiekamer met 3 tweepersoonsbedden, met ons gezin van 4) dus hebben daar geen last van gehad, maar als je er met 6 personen zou slapen mis je misschien wat ruimte voor je spullen. En er lagen kleine witte balletjes (leek op pepermuntjes), ik denk mottenballen die erg sterk roken. Fijn om ongedierte weg te houden, maar rook wel erg chemisch dus we hebben ze weggelegd.
