Nice spacious room, comfy bed, very lovely balcony. Very caring helpful family. Quite area.

Might be challenging for light sleepers because dog might bark at night.

Lovley Family and hosts. The do their best to make you enjoy your stay. The garden and balcony are perfect for relaxing and in the evening you can watch the fireflies - beautiful! Could use the kitchen when we asked for it. Price value was good.

- no wifi - the distance to the center and beach is longer than expected (not 500m), but you could tell with a quick look at the map

I very much enjoyed my stay. The family at the property is lovely and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble, you just need to ask. Meals can be provided on request, as can other services e.g. laundry. The location is beautiful and very peaceful. A real home away from home!

Stayed here for three nights and absolutely loved it. The bed is comfortable and I slept like a baby. There is no AC in the room but the fan and mosquito net work well. There is also a very strong cold shower which was a delight. The bathroom is clean and nice. The guesthouse is located in a quiet neighborhood, on the Maharamba road. Once in a while a vehicle will appear on the road but overall it's super quiet. It's a pleasure to walk, especially after sunset, when you can see dozens of fireflies circling around you. Magical! From the terrace you can enjoy observing numerous birds, chipmunks and other animals, in the lush greenery that surrounds the house. The family is super friendly and shows the best of Sri Lankan hospitality. It's more like staying with a family. They will teach you Sinhala and give advice about where to go. The property is in a walkable distance from Delawella, Mihiripena and Unawatuna beaches. You can easily reach Rumasala and its beaches and Japanese pagoda by foot as well. The wonderful natural pools of Thalpe are a little bit further but in the morning it's a nice walk along the coastline from Delawella with gorgeous ocean views. There is a fruit shop practically next door and a few little shops where you can buy some other things. I would definitely recommend this place to those who want to experience a quiet local life in nature. In my case it felt fantastic.
