Leaving the place!

Arrived there to discover that the room was moldy and smelled terribly. Unfortunately I payed upfront. Left at midnight as it was unbearable. Hotel worker called me a taxi to another hotel. A friend of his. The next day he showed up at my new hotel claiming i had stolen a remote and other weird things. We had a heated argument. I wrote a hotel review he didnt like. One day I was sitting in a tuk tuk in the traffic jam and he attacked me, grabbed my arm and tried to force me to take the review down. He insulted me very badly and threatend me multiple times. I fought him off. We had a very nasty argument in the middle of the town. As Mirissa is small and I wanted to get rid of this dangerous lunatic for good to enjoy my holiday I took the review down. Who wants to be stalked on holiday? I wanted to let it slide but as I am waiting at the airport and still get reminder from booking.com to leave a review here it is. Dont go there, the dreadlock guy working there is crazy and dangerous.

The room was beautiful and cozy, i really liked it after a week of quesionable quality stays around most of the rest of the country. The staff were really great and you could borrow snorkle gear and other thins for free. The staff also helped cut up and prepare fruits and things that i bought outside and served it to me. In addition they were just generally accommodating.

The price was higher than id have liked for sri lanka, although the quality compensated for this a bit. Its a bit of a walk from the bus and the restaurants nearby are all extremely overpriced so you have to go fairly far to search out a more locally priced meal. Not the hostels fault but something to keep in mind.

Nice room with fan and AC which worked well and kept room really cool. Good storage and space in the room. Good sized bathroom with a little separate bit for the shower which is handy. Staff were nice and helpful. Very cute dog. Great value for money

As it is a restaurant they play music until 10pm which isn’t too bad but keep in mind if you are an early sleeper. My room was right next to the restaurant so it’s probably a bit quieter in the other rooms. Also the power plug was a bit sketchy but manageable. Small things

Lovely garden/terrace/restaurant area. Great guys running it, always polite with a smile on their face.

Bed was very uncomfortable and a tiny blanket.
