Humbhaha jungle yala nature eco resort

Die ganze Lodge war der Hammer. Hier hat Fernando extrem viel Herzblut reingesteckt, wir haben selten so einen schönen Ort gesehen. Alle Mitarbeiter waren super freundlich, abends haben wir mit Fernando zusammen gesessen und gemeinsam etwas Musik gemacht. Abendessen konnten wir aus der Ferne noch bestellen, obwohl es schon recht spät war. Alles war super lecker, auch das Frühstück. Wir konnten nur noch die einfachen Unterkünfte buche, da die Komfortzimmer schon ausgebucht waren. DIe einfachen Zimmer waren schon etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber für eine Übernachtung ok. Das Ambiente drumherum hat das mehr als aber aufgewogen.

This is the worst place where I have ever stayed, super dirty and riddled with insects (I’ve stayed plenty of times in the jungle and never have seen such a badly maintained place). I wasn’t going to post a review as the hosts seemed nice, but unfortunately, on the last day just before checking out, I saw a few behaviours of ANIMAL ABUSE that leave me no option but to warn future travelers. The owner keeps a lot of animals, but apart from the dogs that look in good condition, the rest are not well kept. Multiple rabbits mixed with a guinea pig were kept in a small fence with concrete and no proper bedding, and we noticed a HALF DEAD young rabbit. The hosts tried to gaslight me in saying it was a newborn and that was dead, when he was clearly a couple of weeks old and still moving, but struggling. A part from this, we also saw a monkey being CHAINED with the excuse of having rescued her - she looked severely distressed and had calluses and small injuries on the waist where the chain is. This is heartbreaking and ILLEGAL (we went to the police to file a report and they confirmed us this), so if you love animals avoid this place at all costs. Pictures as proof. Now, having read a few other reviews and the response of the owner to the negative ones, I expect him to call me double faced or unhappy like a scolded child would do

The place is very interesting and the owner has great taste in music, even played a drum sample for us

The animals can be loud at any hour of the day, worked out for us because we were leaving for safari early morning so didn't even have to set an alarm.

I really liked the atmosphere, bathing in the river behind, very good dinner and kind hospitality.

Good for me.

Anzumerken ist die Aussergewöhnlichkeit des Ortes, like Indiana Jones.

Die Lage, weit außerhalb des Ortes, ohne dass ein fahrbarer Untersatz/Fahrrad beigestellt werden konnte, ist eine Zumutung. Ein nutzbares WiFi gibt es nicht.

Tous, un lieu magique au calme du bruit de la ville et en pleine campagne. Idéal comme moi pour aller marcher le long de la réserve voir les oiseaux, singes et autres tortues, serpents.

Beautiful little place hidden in the forest. The people love their animals. In the evening we got delicious food with a bonfire afterwards
