Sun Ground Villa

Everything you need for a stay in Hikkaduwa. Friendly host. Well looked after. Nice garden. A few minutes walk to the main strip/shops/beach. I booked the apartment without a balcony. If anyone is wondering, both the doors on the lower floor are for the same apartment, so the patio is yours alone.

This was a great stay. The owner is lovely. We were looking for somewhere that checked quite a lot of boxes: budget, kitchen with cooking facilities, washing machine, outside area, good WiFi, decent location - this was the only place that I found that had it all!

Nothing. But to give constructive criticism - some bug nets on the doors might be a good idea, as it’s nice to have the doors open to let the light and air in, but bugs come in.

Really nice host who helps you with all your questions. You have your own house with a living room, kitchen with fridge, bathroom and bedroom. You have your own washing machine. The place has a hot shower, good wifi and a parking spot for the tuktuk. Next door you find a small and cheap bakery with a lovely guy where you can have a nice breakfast, lunch or diner.
