Good - Quiet, AC, good wifi. Far from main area of town but can walk there in 15 minutes. Plenty of inexpensive ($1) taxis around if you don't want to walk. Allowed me to check in early, restaurants and grocery nearby, fast response to communication. As a single woman, I felt safe in the neighborhood, but I was usually home by dark. A bike is available to rent. The mother of the owner lives upstairs and is very nice and helpful. She speaks a little English. If you don't have hot water, she will change the canister for you. Just takes a minute. Plenty of pots and dishes

Things to know - There is a gas canister in the kitchen and no CO2 detector. The window looks out on a very narrow alley, so the place can feel enclosed. There is an entry card for the front door that you need to hold over the video doorbell to get in, but a front door key also provided is not used anymore. Very confusing. This isn’t communicated in Spanish or English. A picture in the room demonstrating how to unlock the front door would be helpful. (They buzz you in for arrival) Most of the pots in the kitchen could use a good scrubbing.

We did appreciate the common area - large and airy.

The room was too cramped for two people. Electricity to the air conditioning was turned off during the night - so unable to sleep due to stuffy, hot room.

Comfortable and clean.

Helpful host who helped us promptly with all our questions and the boat tour company he suggested was very professional. Well located away from the main part of town but walking distance to it and also the airport and water taxi. The room had a fridge and microwave and we also were able to use a coffee maker to make tea and coffee. The place was very clean. Near to a cheap soda, grocery store, and everything we needed.

The room was a bit cramped for our three luggages but it was fine. If you need luggage storage after you check out then it would not work as they do not have a constant staff on-site.

Rimercio was a really helpful and nice host. We stayed two nights at is hostal/hostel. He gave us some good tips and even walked us to some local rentals.

The rooms had no natural lights.
