"Fantastic Riad with wonderful architecture , great rooms , breakfast and Staff"

10.0

Stayed five nights and what a wonderful stay, The room was large ,very nice and the Staff were fantastic. The Riad itself is amazing with huge ceilings and a great ambience. They arranged transfers from the bus station and then back to the Airport after our stay which was really handy . We had a scrumptious three course meal at the Riad and enjoyed the fantastic views from the upstairs rooftop lounge. You will love it !

"Esperienza indimenticabile"

10.0

"Absolutely the best Dar in the city."

10.0

The property is pure magic, incredible architecture and beautiful touches throughout. The linens and beds were superb and the rooms comfortable and unique. Our host Zouhair (probably not the right spelling) was so warm, and gracious. He was genuinely so welcoming and helpful we felt like we were staying with family. I cannot stress enough what a beautiful stay we had, I will remember this place for the rest of my life. Also the breakfast was incredible.

I only regret we couldn’t stay longer.

"Excellent"

8.0

We enjoyed our stay at Dar Seffarine. The experience staying there was like stepping back in time in to a beautifully restored Riad. The staff were very friendly but we would like to highlight our private tour of the Medina by Arabi. He was very friendly, warm and knowledgeable and spending time exploring the Medina with him was a real highlight for us.

It would have been appreciated if there had been a small fridge and electric jug in our room to make our stay more comfortable.

"An amazingly renovated Dar run by kind people who don't understand hospitatlity."

10.0

I loved the architecture, the funishigs, the renovation, the roof top, meeting my fellow guests, the opportunity to have dinner with the guest and share adventures. The massive room that we had. That was amazing.

I was expecting Riad / hotel level standards that were not met. This venue should be better promoted as a home style experience rather than hotel style experience. Indeed when we chatted with the owner he said that his vision was "People coming to live inside my house and just cover expenses.". Most people with a hotel mentality would expect a mini fridge in the room, a phone in the room to communicate with Dar staff, cold drinks available (as the owner told us - "the fridge is not working properly so the drinks wont be cold".) It was extremely disappointing that In the hot weather of September., after touring all day and then battling the medina to find the Dar one could not to have a cold water, coke, beer or wine to enjoy. This was very disappointing and below stadard INHO. It could be that they just don't understand the hospitatlity side of the hosting guests. Also, I thought it was poor that they do not have any legible maps for tourists to use and suggest "use google maps" even knowing that Google Maps loses connection in the medina!! Again, a rookie error in my opinion. One night we got in late from touring and didn't let them know we needed dinner so I simply asked if they had any left overs that we could have for dinner. We were told "NO we dont" but we can ring the restaurant and make a reservation. I said no we were too tired and asked for some fruit and bread. My wife were provided with 2 apples and 1 loaf of bread to have in our room (and a large bottle of tepid water). Ironically my fellow guests told me the next morning that their was plenty of food left over. Breakfast was very hit and miss. One morning it was outstandig and the other 2 mornings quite avaerage. Again lack of hopsitatlity experience showed.
