Rathnapriya Oasis

Het royale huisje en het fantastische zwembad . Op verzoek kregen wij een waterkoker met koffie- en theezakjes. Dat was heel fijn. De hostfamily was zeer vriendelijk en gastvrij. Elke dag heerlijk gegeten.

This is a simple clean and comfortable stay (with aircon) in close proximity to the boat safari ticket office and dock. Boat safaris can be difficult to book (and overpriced) but you can walk to the office and book there. (Opens at 6am). We were given breakfast and dinner for reasonable prices (about 3000-3500Rs) although we are used to breakfast being included. There is a bit of a premium to stay in Gal Oya generally so this is a good option if you are looking to do boat safari.

The walls are thin so you can hear the neighbouring guests very loudly

The host and hostess were friendly and welcoming. The new swimming pool was glorious. The food was delicious.

Die sehr freundliche Gastgeberfamilie bietet einfache, saubere Zimmer mit gutem Bett, einem großen Bad und einer kleinen Terrasse an. Das Haus hat einen schönen Garten und einen großen Pool. Es liegt verkehrsgünstig. Das Frühstück und das Abendessen waren sehr lecker und die Auswahl an landestypischen Spezialitäten gut.

This double room was better in terms of facilities and enclosed bathroom than the family room I had the previous night....

BUT.... So noisy! Nearer the road and school, paper thin wall to adjoining room so your hear next door person every move and so much noise from outside. All the other things on my last review stand as well.... Expensive for what it is compared to others around Sri Lanka...

The room was large. The food was very good. The pool was great. The staff were friendly and helpful.

A minor issue was that you could easily hear guests in neighbouring rooms.

De houtwen bedjes bij het zwembad hadden geen kussen dus die waren een beetje hard.

The location, rooms and food were all excellent!

Had a lovely one night stay here, with large room and comfortable bed, good AC and warm shower. The owners are lovely, making a delicious evening meal and breakfast and gave us great insight about the area. The location is perfect for the lake safari and the grounds do feel like a little oasis!
