Dar Yaya

It was a good place to stay in Mhamid even for a few nights. The room was pretty spacious and had a shower, and a toilet. On one night it didn't have a strong water pressure but I figured it was because of the water in the desert - there is not much of it. The sheets and pillows were clean. I had ordered breakfast and had forgotten to mention that I didn't eat dairy. The owner prepared some eggs for me, it was lovely. The stars at night were amazing since the Rad is located a bit far from the town's light pollution.

On the first day, some kids were harassing me and following me to town asking for candies. It was the only moment I was annoyed, cause they tried to touch me and my pockets. It's not the property's fault though, but the tourists that must have offered candies in the first place.

Yaya was the best host. He collected me from the bus and looked after me and all of the other lovely guests for our whole stay. Dar Yaya has a really friendly vibe. Everyone is respectful and smiley. The breakfast eggs are amazing!

I can't think of anything I didn't like at Dar Yaya. Except that I couldn't stay longer.

We were picked up from the bus station by Ya Ya and immediately felt at ease. He has a laid back and accomodating vibe. When we tried to extend our stay and no rooms were available he allowed us to sleep in the living room for a few nights. The house has a beautiful courtyard where we spent many go slow mornings playing music and drinking tea. He helped us organise an Er Chigaga adventure that fitted into our timing. While we were here we went to the Taragalte Festival, he came in with us, enjoyed the music and helped us get home. Would recommend coming to Dar Ya Ya and spending time here, the desert is a beautiful place and Ya Ya was super helpful.
