Emarald Holiday Homes

Very nice owner, clean spacious room and bathroom! The accommodation is close to a lake and maybe 10 min by tuktuk from the sacred city, so it’s very convenient. We felt comfortable here!

The host and his family are very welcoming and his sons are adorable. The room is good size, the bed is comfortable, the AC worked well, and the bathroom was clean. Our host helped us arrange bikes to see the ancient city, his wife did laundry for us (for a reasonable fee), and he gave us a ride to the train station the morning we left. This is a very affordable and comfortable place. We would definitely recommend it.

As with most of Sri Lanka the wifi was not really reliable, this was not a problem for us but worth noting for anyone thinking of staying.

Spacious quiet rooms for a pleasant stay.

We had a very pleasant stay at Emarald Holiday Homes. The family was helpful and kind. They welcomed us with watermelon juice and helped us with all of our questions. The owner even drove us to some of the temples. It was a good location to explore the city and temples. Very nice!

I loved the kind host and the dinner was so so good. He was kind and helpful, the room was clean, had a nice view to the garden and it was in the city center, but calm!

The room was very clean and spacious. The AC was effective and the location was very close to shops and the town center without it being loud because the accommodation is located in a quiet street. The host was very helpful and supportive.
