Unfortunately not so clean: de windows were full of handprints, which I cleaned myself with the caretaker, de rubbish bin wasn’t emptied, dirty table cloth, dirty and dusty bed and bathroom carpets. On the bedside tables were no lamps, I found them in the closet with broken sheets plugs, but the light switches were on the other side of the room, with my torch I had to walk back to my bed. The breakfast was plain, some bread, marmalade, 1 egg, and some bananas. Towels were clean (I think) but with fixed stains on them.

The view is absolutely brilliant and definitely the selling point here. We were able to watch Elephants from the balcony a few times a day. Family were accommodating and breakfast was included in price

What made this place exceptional was its location. You wake up in the morning to view the elephants at the orphanage receiving breakfast. Their happily snorting and squealing as truckloads of the morning meal is delivered. The elephants eat, play, and cavort freely all while I'm sipping tea from my balcony. Unbelievable!

First we arrived after booking 2 rooms, the girl told us there was only one available with air conditioning, we accepted, then the host was acting strange, we believe maybe he was drunk, so we decided to leave because we didn’t feel safe

Simple acommodation located in the nature. The owner is very kind and willng to help. He arranged the tour with the front view to the elephants for free. The view from the balcony is beautifull.

This is the best option in price/quality ratio in all of Sri Lanka! For $22 you get an excellent large room overlooking the elephant orphanage with air conditioning, a balcony, clean linings and breakfast for 2 person! The owner is very friendly and attentive to all requests. Those who previously wrote about the Internet just needed to ask for its help. He knows everything in this city, can organize activities with elephants and free passage to the paid elephant bathing area

Sure no need to expect premium rooms for $20 with breakfast) be realistic) but according to the price/quality it’s the best place there.
