Pinnawala Elephant Front View Hotel

Everything about this stay experience was just 10/10. The caretaker Roshan is an amazing person and the host Kristi is always available on call to help us with anything and everything around and about the stay. We loved the view, the food served and the hospitality. They also took our last minute request of arranging a home cooked dinner for us and customised it as per our needs. The dinner & breakfast served was finger licking good. As we couldn't experience the elephant bathing at Pinnawala Elephant orphanage due to the high water levels in the river Roshan even helped us arrange the same at another place where we enjoyed the elephant ride, elephant feeding & bathing activities and also a tour to the spice garden. We definitely recommend this place.

Great location, hospitality of the owner, very tasty breakfast sri lankan style. Nice view of elephants from the room.

The bed was not very clean.

Enormous room and great views.

The owner (the man) came up to my room a few minutes after I'd checked in and was very pushy in trying to get me to cancel my booking with the Elephant Freedom Project (that was already paid for) and go with a different company to see elephants. It made me very uncomfortable and I was on the verge of leaving and finding a different hotel. In the end I had to be quite blunt and ask him to leave me alone. Even then he seemed quite reluctant to leave MY room. Overall it was a nice place, but it was ruined by this rather strange situation.

I am really like to choose this hotel, clean ,comfort, owner and his family are so nice ,if i have time, i will stay more.

Very good quiet location just behind the world famous Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. You can watch the Giants of the earth from the room balcony. New and clean please. Enjoyed a traditional Sri Lankan country style meal. Really appreciate the amazing hospitality and the friendly service by the caretaker Roshan. Very good value for money.
