Sand Dune Beach Hotel & Surf Camp

Very budget friendly, just not very beautiful surroundings.Room was basic but quite adequate.Huge grounds but not very well planted out yet, nothing that a bit of tender loving care can't fix.I think this place has huge potential.All said and done,very good place to sleep, friendly helpful staff just don't expect luxury.

Shame the restaurant was only open for breakfast.Would also be great if they had a small pool because swimming on the beach there is not advised.Went to a beach very close by but couldn't really swim,strong current and big waves.

Sehr schöne und entspannte Anlage mit eigenem kleinen hüttchen. Man hört den ganzen Tag das Meeresrauschen und ist direkt am Strand. Es ist etwas außerhalb gelegen aber dafür in einer ruhigen Gegend und man kann entweder am strand oder an der Strasse nach Arugam Bay laufen oder 5 min mit dem Tuk Tuk fahren. Die Unterkunft ist basic aber sauber und sehr angenehm mit dem Gestell für den Fliegenschutz. Das Personal ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit und wir haben sogar sehr früh am morgen Frühstück bekommen. Es gibt ein paar Hängematten an der Anlage verteilt, die super zum entspannen sind. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

Das Zimmer ist etwas dunkel.

Lontano dalla strada principale, circa 20 minuti a piedi. Perfetto se si vuole stare isolati dal traffici. Dormire ascoltando le onde dell’oceano è sicuramente una sensazione bellissima

Quello che risparmi nella camera lo spendi per spostarti. Durante il soggiorno ho avuto più problemi. La prima camera aveva la doccia che perdeva, lavandino sporco di capelli, bidone rotto. Dopo averlo fatto notare dopo la prima notte mi è stata data un’altra camera. Ma anche questa con dei problemi. L’ultima notte infatti durante un temporale, il tetto perdeva e l’acqua cadeva direttamente sul letto. Dopo averlo fatto notare mi è stato detto che mi sarebbe stata lasciata la chiave della camera a fianco nel caso la situazione diventasse insostenibile. Cosa che non è stata fatta. (Forse il fatto che facessi un checkout anticipato e avessi già pagato li ha “tranquillizzati”). Vedi foto letto bagnato e porta su cui sarebbe dovuta esserci la chiave ma non c’era. Per scrupolo controllato in tutte le camere adiacenti ma nulla. Mi hanno lasciato a prendere l’acqua durante la notte. Il manager si è giustificato che stavano facendo i lavori dopo un grosso temporale di qualche settimana prima. E si vede che fanno i lavori. La struttura è un cantiere a cielo aperto. A colazione l’unica cosa che puoi scegliere è se prendere the o caffè. A volte salata e a volte dolce. Come va a loro. La struttura non ha un surf camp adiacente ma offre un servizio completo di trasporto A/R + lezione di 1 ora e mezza a circa mezz’ora di tuk tuk dal “resort”. Manager terribile. Gentile solo apparentemente ma estremamente furbo.

je länger der Aufenthalt, je besser hat es uns gefallen. Die Ruhe, wenn man diese Sucht, findet man da 🙏 mit Tuk Tuk nur 2’ bis zur Main Street Arugam Bay. Die kleine Cabana war auch super.

Die Matratzen sind durch geschlafen und die Kissen sehr hart, aber man gewöhnt sich daran.

The owner and the staff are all really friendly and are always trying to make the time there as good as possible. The owner can arrange a ride or surf lessons to a very reasonable price and if there is a problem he will fix or try to fix it as fast as possible. The breakfast was also really good

A good location, you go out, here it is the ocean. But there's nothing else interesting.

the hotel is unkempt, old, there are no light bulbs. Something has fallen or fallen off - and lies there. They also cheated on the price. I do not recommend it!

El personal fue súper atento y la cabaña cuenta con lo necesario para pasar unos días en Arugambay . Acceso directo a la calle y al centro se llega caminando en 10 minutos.

Recomiendo guardar las cosas a las que tengas aprecio en el armario porque hay muchos animalitos.
