The owners tried to help and offered to use their washing machine. Ac was working fine.

The price is high (as high as other good places where we were staying afterwards )and the quality is not good: feels like people just invited you to sleepover in their child room - the toys around are quite creepy. The bed is very hard and uncomfortable. It was promoted as a private bathroom, but for it we needed to go through the common room and anyone else could enter.. Wifi was not working good, though we stayed there just because of good reviews regarding it.

Beautiful house! We really enjoyed the nice balconies and view of the monkeys and trees surrounding the property! The owner was incredibly nice, and made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. He had some good recommendations for restaurants in the area as well! Thank you so much 😊

Be aware that there are quite a few mosquitoes, but all the bedrooms we had included mosquito nets! But just make sure to bring some repellent or ask the host for some before the sun starts to set.

Someone didn’t check out from the room I booked so I got a room with AC so it was really nice. Bathroom was okay. There is no mosquito net but I think it wasn’t a must there.

More cleaning needed. I’m not sure if the bedsheet was changed because it was full of dirt..

If your in hirikitiya please stay here, a family run home stay, owners couldn't do enough for me. Rooms are clean and comfortable, great facilities, a short walk to beach. Set back from road you also get a peaceful wildlife packed setting, loved this place especially mum and dad of owner who were wonderful.

The rooms are spacious and clean. The surrounding is very quiet and peaceful. The host is super lovely and helpful. Really great value for money. Definitely recommend staying here for a lovely local vibe.

I liked that there was some space in the room, fresh bedsheets, good security

I didn’t like there being an outdoor bathroom, lots of mosquitoes and ants, quite solitary and away from the beach

The accommodation was really great! Anushka, the brother of the owner of the accommodation, gave me a very warm welcome. He invited me to stay with his friends and I really felt very comfortable. I only booked the accommodation for 2 nights, unfortunately I couldn't extend it as it was already fully booked. But anushka offered me to stay in his accommodation (one minute away). Anuska's accommodation is also just great, you should definitely check it out, it's called "elisa place Hiriketiya". I also felt very comfortable here. Elisa's place is even more luxurious. I love it here!!!! So I can recommend this accommodation 200 percent, if you are in Hiriketiya, definitely book Summer salt or elisa's place. Anushka is such a great and nice person. Whenever I needed help, he was there immediately, when I asked him a question on WhatsApp, he answered directly. He is like that with all the guests.. so helpful and nice! Thank you Anuska for everything, you are really great!
