Absolutely nothing i liked. There was hardly anything to like

Bad location. Bad room and beds Absolutely nothing other than bed and pillows available in the room. No kettle, No soap, No towel nothing at all. Not at all a family friendly place. Mens drinking & partying with loud music all night. NO fan. Mosquito. Noisy bed. Hot water doesn't come all the time. Oh my god i saw the rating 8.2 and booked. now i seriously doubt the ratings of Booking.com

The location is very close to the train station.

The bathroom was more like an open bathroom for mosquitoes and bugs to come in. The walls are not completely sealed from floor to ceiling. There’s no mosquito net in the room, the staff did put in a mosquito repellent spray, but it doesn’t do much to stop the mosquitoes. Check in was confusing, I arrived and there wasn’t anyone there. I called the number on the desk and the owner’s daughter came. She seemed annoyed I was there and staying. She wasn’t practically welcoming or friendly. I had to ask for everything like a towel and wifi password. I asked if I could have breakfast after I return from a hike, which would be after 10 am. She said breakfast ended at 9 am. I asked if I could have breakfast to take with me on the hike, she kept repeating that breakfast finished at 9 am, she seemed annoyed that I requested this. It was either her mother or grandmother that said it was fine. The bed wasn’t too comfortable and didn’t seem clean. No bin inside the room, only outside. Walls are paper thin, you can hear the conversations from guests in the rooms next door. I did appreciate that they let me stay in a room after check out to charge my devices and use the wifi while I waited for my train. Overall, didn’t get a great vibe from the girl and the mosquitoes in the room sucked. Wouldn’t stay again.

Lovely Homestay! I stayed at this beautiful place two nights, one before and one after doing Adams Peak. It’s located in a really calm and beautiful natural area of Hatton. The Railway station is just a 10 min walk away. The Host, his wife and his daughter made my time the most exceptional. They were so lovely, courteously welcoming me with a tasty cup of tea which is grown on their property’s tea plantations in the back of the house. From the veranda you’ll have a beautiful view on their tea plantation. They required a super delicious local dinner for me the evening I arrived. They arranged a scooter so I could drive to Maskeliya (Adams Peak) and back. They also provide excellent laundry service. The rooms were neat and tidy when I arrived. A good place to prepare yourself for adams Peak and have a nice rest afterwards. You won’t find a better opportunity to get to know the local life. Can highly recommend this beautiful Homestay to anyone who’s coming to Hatton or wants to do the Adams Peak.

We got a cute spacious bedroom with large windows (all with curtains) and a small deck overlooking the tea hills, bed and pillows were comfy with cozy blanket. No issues with mosquitoes as long as windows are shut. Bathroom was modern and clean, and it is in a quiet spot. The host even let us keep our bags locked in the room past checkout as we were going to hike and come back that afternoon.

The breakfast was quite lacking based on what one sees in the photos and that’s our main downside. soap for the sink to wash hands is needed. Nothing fancy in general but we were not expecting that anyways.
