Akaroa Coastal Studio

Perfect location on Banks Peninsular. Just outside of Akaroa, this amazing location is perfect if you are looking for somewhere with stunning views and quiet surrounds. The accommodation is comfortable (my sister and I shared the studio apartment), with daily access to the spa pool. We enjoyed being close enough to Akaroa to not feel like it was a trek whenever we went there but far enough away to feel like we were miles away from the world when we wanted to be. And the stars at night - lying in the spa - were something special. This was the first stop on our holiday and was exactly what we needed to turn us off from "normal life" and into relaxation mode!

Akaroa Coastal Studio was superb. The attention to detail was well noted. The room and bed were very comfortable and very clean and the small space was very well utilized. Added touches such as porcelain mugs, good shampoo, local magazines and glow in the dark flashlights beside the bed were much appreciated. Sitting in the hot tub was an added bonus and we enjoyed a meal overlooking the view at the picnic table provided. The location of the home, very close to town, gave us the advantage of beautiful mountain and sea views. Akaroa is very beautiful and the studio added much to our experience there.

Beautiful space with an amazing view and the hosts were friendly/helpful too! The studio matched what was explained in the ad and we felt the price was very fair for what was offered. The space was clean and modern. The hot tub also had a great view and was clean. We thought the little rain hats were hilarious but super useful if it had rained! They also were helpful in the sun.

It was a little on the small side but this was explained in the ad/you could see this from photos, and wasn't a problem for us (but it may be a problem if you are someone who likes/needs/wants a bigger space, or a separate bed from the person you're with). This accommodation is a close drive to the main town of Akaroa, but you'd definitely need a bike or car to get there (no public transit and a little too far to walk (for most, esp with luggage) from the main town).

Very well fitted out and comfortable unit about ten minutes drive from the town. Lovely views from the windows. Spa can be booked which also has with a great view of the water and hills.

The entrance drive requires a sharp turn off the main road which is a bit tricky. Not too bad once you get the hang of it, but take it slowly!
