Liked the privacy of not even having to disturb my hosts. My independence was an asset for both parties. Loved the option of a heated floor in the bathroom. Chilled water in the fridge. Mood lighting for streaming or watching TV. Very cosy!

If I were to REALLY nitpick I'd suggest an extractor fan in the bathroom - as much for their sake as for mine. And perhaps a selection of alternate teabags but I can see how that might become a real rabbit hole. Honestly though - I was very comfortable and my hosts accommodated my needs extremely well.

"Was adequate"

The size of the bathroom especially the hand basin. Entrance was scruffy. House needed a paint.

Blinds - shears curtains for privacy that let light in would be nice touch instead of blinds.

"Delightful"

A delightful light and airy filled apartment with nice shower and toiletries. About a 15 minute walk to restaurants and shops. The owner was very easy to communicate with prior to our stay. We stayed there before and after tramping on Stewart Island and the owner kindly held our luggage for our return. We would recommend this property.

Location was close to town Property was Clean Good selection of TV channels/ movies

On first views of the building ,it looked very run down and untidy outside / garden Photos on booking.com make it look better than it really is building/ outside area Could have been a couple of microwave dishes as this was the only way of cooking

"Extension back of house."

Bathroom very good, soft towels , toilet paper excellent , plenty shampoo and conditioner, body wash. Bed comfy.

Room smelt a bit musty, needed airing. Blinds needed dusting. Everything else was compact and okay.

"Great location and lovely little private unit."

Great location! Very private and well appointed. Comfortable bed. A nice little courtyard to relax in. Owners were very quick to respond to email questions.

We met John briefly. It would have been nice to have been able to say hi to Anna. Reinforcing that they were available via email with very quick response time

Only one armchair and no other chair (apart from two small folding upright chairs)
