Un des seuls établissements à Recuay. Hôte sympathique, chambre propre. Emplacement au pied de la montagne.

Petit déjeuner à partir de 9h00..... Chambre très froide (pas de chauffage, pas assez de couettes). Spartiate: aucune lampe/table de chevet, chaises en plastique qui font office de meuble.

Be prepared for cold night, but room had enough warm sheets.

We had a great stay. Gonzalo really looked after us well and made us feel totally at home. Meals were wonderful and he kept us supplied with cedron tea to keep us warm. We had breakfast and dinner there each day. We had extra blankets as the nights were really cold but we were toasty in bed. Room was a good size and the beds comfortable. Secure parking for our motorcycles, which always comes first for us. Location was lovely and peaceful, the hotel dogs were friendly and even the llama let us say hello. The nights were peaceful and we slept well. We also got our laundry done and there is a dryer there too. Fantastic. A shop on the premises has basic stuff like water and snacks. Can highly recommend this hotel.

Everywhere in Peru no heating and no good windows, so night is cold.

Wonderful, extremely friendly and helpful owners, adorable pets, the cute Llama follows the owner like a dog. We stayed 3 days in the clean and cosy rooms and enjoyed netflix, the animals, the landscape, did a daytrip to Chavin and Hatun Machay. Very relaxing. Meals were great, too. It was cold at night in August due to the altitude, but blankets where thick and cosy and hot water 24h available

Gonzolo and Melissa were fantastic. Great hosts. Also enjoyed having a Llama around :) For a fair price, you have a wonderful hotel in a great location away from the city.

Great location

Melissa and her husband were wonderful hosts, welcoming us onto their property with a tour of the grazing lands behind the hotel, introducing us to all their animals (friendly dogs, llamas, sheep, cattle, chickens, rabbits), and conversing with us throughout the evening. They gave us advice on our trip through Peru and seemed genuinely interested in our travels. The place is beautiful, peaceful, and secluded. They cooked dinner (15 soles, I think) and breakfast for us (2-3 soles pp) and both were delicious with farm fresh eggs.

It's a bit tough to get to; the route on google maps put us into a dead end due to construction, but I messaged the host and she immediately responded with an alternate path. We drove our own car and there's about a km+ of gravel road to get to the property. If you go slow, there's no problem.
