We ended up staying at Coombs' place for 10 nights to explore Siquijor. It offers great value, with a very clean and spacious room. Having a little kitchenette area with a small fridge made it convenient for making tea or instant coffee in the morning. The AC worked well and was really quiet, and the WiFi was reliable for our remote work. There were also hot water showers and a spacious bathroom, while the room darkening curtains were really helpful. Housekeeping was available regularly upon request. Maria, our host, was super helpful, attentive, and responsive throughout our stay. The location is just a 10-15 minute walk to the pier and less than 10 minutes to the nearest recommended restaurant. It's best to hire a scooter to get around, as it's still a distance from the main attractions and from any bars and a wider selection of places to eat and drink. There is a petrol station conveniently situated across the road. Maria recommended a great rental company nearby, not far from the house and pier. Additionally, there are a couple of small convenience shops downstairs selling basics like drinking water and beer. The balcony overlooks the main road, across from the petrol station. Overall, we had a very comfortable stay, and Maria was super lovely and accommodating, providing helpful recommendations on places to visit in Siquijor!

We had a very comfortable stay and Maria was a delightful host. This sad, it’s probably important to be aware There is a lot of street noise from the busy main road in front of the house. We are from large urban cities and have gotten used to it, but it's something to be aware of. Perhaps in the future, double glazing could be installed.

Very comfy, AC worked well, toilet was clean and the shower was hot (or cold if you like). It's located just above a shop so you can get essentials there, and it's walking distance from a few places to eat. There was a motorbike rental downstairs too, so I rented a bike for 450 pesos a day, and used that. If you can't ride it might be a little less convenient as it's not super close to the islands attractions. But there are plenty of trikes and taxis to take you wherever.

The only thing I can point out is that the TV channels didn't seem to work, and one plug socket was dodgy (for the fridge and kettle) but that was fixed the next day so no issues.

One of the best accommodations during our south east Asia trip. The room was spacious and clean, there were several options nearby to eat breakfast, and we were also able to rent a motorbike with the guest house. Linda, our host, was super kind and helpful!
