The cabanas are comfortable and spacious and while not directly facing the beach in a beautiful tropical garden with a large patch of grass leading onto the beach. The location is within walking distance of restaurants, bars and diving companies. The staff, in particular Amal, is a real gem, helpful in assisting with transportation or arranging diving trips. There are hammocks and loungers right on the beach.

Unfortunately, there is no pool, which would have really made this place unbeatable.

On a nice beach albeit very quiet.

Done lots of travel over the years on varying budgets. This is my first negative review. Hosts are nice enough when you get to see them but little overall hospitality offered in comparison to all other stays in Sri Lanka. No fresh water at all in room, Father and son were not around after check-in to get water, drinks, food etc on first day, a single sized top sheet left folded on queen bed, no other coverings, no use for two people, main light flickering constantly - non English speaking staff couldn’t resolve, no one else around. Rooms are very dark, all windows opaque. They were kind enough to allow us to check out after just one night without penalty which we really appreciated. I know they have lots of great reviews, the beach location is great ( though very quiet) but in a country that provides great accommodation at relatively good prices these guys are taking too many shortcuts for the price charged and seem to take the guests for granted. Probably fine for younger folks with lower expectations happy to be fully self sufficient not that it’s easy to be so there without transport. If you’ve over 35, I would suggest choose elsewhere. I can only think there are many negative reviews gone unwritten or perhaps we were just unlucky on this occasion. Moderated that they did allow us to check out three days early without penalty. However reviews are worthless if you can’t be honest about the negatives.

Incredible beachfront location with amazing views at sunrise and sunset. Friendly staff, great breakfasts and a welcome mosquito net, as the area is quite buggy. A beautiful place for a relaxing break.

Tolle Lage am Meer. Sehr freundliches Personal. Sehr gepflegter Garten. Eigener Zugang zum Strand. Schön ruhig.

Perfecte ligging vlak aan het strand van Nilaveli. Wel slechts zijdelings zicht op het strand. Zeer basic huisjes. Daarom prijs kwaliteit niet echt top. Geen koffie/thee voorzien op de kamer terwijl er wel een waterkoker en tassen staan. Als je naar links gaat op het strand zijn er een paar leuke restaurants op het strand. Perfecte uitvalsbasis om te gaan snorkelen nabij Pigeon Island. We zagen een reuzenschildpad en blacktip sharks naast prachtig koraal en vele gekleurde tropische vissen. Aanrader om te doen.

Gorgeous little spot by a quiet beach with a beautiful cabana. Very serene.

A few bars nearby but a 17 minute drive to upavelli with other options so a bit far out the loop and about a half an hour drive to trincomalee. The host was smiley but didn’t really make an effort to help us or offer any advice or suggestions about our stay.
