Der Innenhof des Riads ist wunderschön gestaltet und schafft eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre. Die Zimmer sind ordentlich und komfortabel. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir die außergewöhnliche Gastfreundschaft des Gastgebers Mohammad. Er war äußerst zuvorkommend, professionell und gleichzeitig angenehm locker im Umgang. Er nahm sich viel Zeit für uns, erklärte alles ausführlich und zeigte uns auf der Karte bzw. seinem Handy zahlreiche hilfreiche Tipps zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten in Fes sowie Empfehlungen für unseren anschließenden Aufenthalt in Rabat. Das Frühstück war lecker.

Unser Zimmer war etwas hellhörig.

The Riad Green House was totally exceptional. The inner courtyard was amazing, beautifully decorated in a typically traditional Moroccan style and some amazing old-fashioned black and white photos and other pictures that were fascinating. As I ate my breakfast each morning in the courtyard I had to stop myself taking photos or focussing on another picture that I hadn't previously noticed - I didn't want my coffee to get cold! My own room was also similarly decorated, and was comfortable, had a large bed and was clean. Unlike the two other riads I had stayed at in my journey previously, the TV worked and had various international languages - this was appreciated for a couple of hours one afternoon when I had succumbed to the outdoor heat. The air conditioning in my room worked perfectly. The rooftop view was exceptional with a view of (I think) the Marinid Tombs on the hill beyond. However the very best part of my stay was the staff. All the staff were kind but in the 3 nights I stayed Mohammed became a wise, kind and helpful friend. Not only did he help me to get to know Fes, offered me water when I stepped in from the heat, but best of all when we had the opportunity we put the world to rights together like old friends. He is an exceptional young man with a genuine heart of gold who made a big difference in helping my enjoy my time in Fes - thank you.

Wir sind in den letzten Jahren des öfteren in Fez gewesen und haben das Riad Greenhouse wegen seiner Top-Bewertung von 9,6 gewählt. Die Bewertung ist unangemessen. Die Freundlichkeit und Kommunikation mit dem Personal war sehr gut, aber offenkundig das Bemühen, Mängel und Unzulänglichkeiten dieses Riad zu kaschieren. Das Ambiente wenig einladend. Die Ausstattung ist durchschnittlich, nicht exzellent. Die Treppen mit Gepäck abenteuerlich. Die Zimmerausstattung zum Teil unpraktisch: keine Handtuchhalter am Waschbecken oder Haken im Bad, der einzige Schrank vollgestopft mit Wolldecken. Die Dachterrasse ist keineswegs spektakulär, dort vegetieren Pflanzen ohne erkennbare Pflege. Das Frühstück ist ordentlich und durchschnittlich, ohne Auswahl. Wirklich unpassend ist, dass Tag und Nacht gefühlt alle 10 Minuten eine Pumpe oder elektrische Winde für eine Weile läuft, was das Ein- und Weiterschlafen stört. Ganz überraschend war, dass beim Bezahlen eine Kreditkarte zunächst nicht akzeptiert wurde und man auf Barzahlung drängte. Wer mit 9.6 Punkten wirbt, sollte schon anders aufgestellt sein.

Nachtruhe gestört, Zimmer und Bad wenig praktisch. Das Frühstück eher durchschnittlich. Anspruchsvolle Treppen. Kreditkartenzahlung eher widerwillig angenommen. Trotz zentraler Lage und sehr nettem Personal nicht unbedingt wieder die erste Wahl.

Quiet location in the heart of the Medina, close to the blue gate. 5 mins walk from closest taxi drop off area. Very friendly and helpful staff, particularly Mohammed.

Having to change our room after the first night. Plumbing issues in both rooms.

Staff Clean Location Breakfast Mohamed, Mehdi, and all the young staff made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. They helped us book a private medina tour with Ismael, which we enjoyed so much. They offered us other tours, educated us about the history of the city. They have great sense of humor. Mohamed told us about some hidden gems in the medina. He will be a great guide one day. They recommended great restaurants. They booked our transfer to chefchaouen, they helped booking a porter for our 5 bags. They are extremely kind.

The bathrooms were very clean but need updates. The staff mentioned that they are planning to work on in the next closure. Also, to change the pillows.
